Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 14 horses entered on Saturday 5 June at Kranji.

Currently second, Mark Walker was Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), and 2019, runner-up three times, third, and fourth, since Te Akau established a stable in 2010 at Kranji Racecourse.

5.00 p.m. R1 9 Red Riding Wood  (7 g Redwood - Dreamcatcher) - Dennis Tan (a4); drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on turf and carries 52kg. He has copped a difficult draw (10), however he still rates a place chance.

5.30 p.m. R2 1 Sweet Tapit  (4 m Tapit - Dixie Smile) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 55kg. She needs to improve on previous form.

5.30 p.m. R2 7 Lady Roxanne  (3 f Darci Brahma - Kindred) - Harry Kasim; drew the outside barrier (12) in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 51kg. Another with a challenging draw (12) to contend with and, on that basis, she looks a place chance.

6.00 p.m. R3 2 Street Cry Success  (6 g Street Cry - Koala Bear) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 55kg. Going for three wins on end, but that looks to be a tough ask from an awkward draw (9).

6.00 p.m. R3 5 Inherit  (5 g Pierro - In the Future) - CC Wong; drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 56kg. We are sounding repetitive but yet another runner for the stable with a tough draw (11) to overcome, thus he rates a place chance.

6.00 p.m. R3 9 Hadeer  (5 g Savabeel - A Real Princess) - Mohd Zaki; drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 54.5kg. He went an improved race last start and poses an each-way chance at odds.

7.00 p.m. R5 3 Sportscaster  (7 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy Dancer) - Dennis Tan (a4); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 55kg. He requires more distance to make his presence felt.

7.30 p.m. R6 1 Sacred Gift (5 g Zoustar - Calcatta) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew the outside barrier (12) in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries 54.5kg.   Drawn the carpark (12), his best prospects look to be securing a placing.

7.30 p.m. R6 4 Man of Mystery (6 g All Too Hard - Black Minx) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries 57kg.  Yet another awkward draw (9), but he has the top rider engaged and ranks among the top four prospects.

7.30 p.m. R6 5 Cousteau  (6 g Exceed and Excel - Maritime) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries 55.5kg. Nightmare draws continue and this is no different for this veteran campaigner drawn wide (10) - place prospects look best.

8.00 p.m. R7 2 Maximillian  (5 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on turf and carries 50kg. In great form, he rates a genuine winning chance.

8.00 p.m. R7 5 Hidden Promise (8 g Postponed - Promissory) - Danny Beasley; drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on turf and carries 53.5kg. He finds the right race to rate a genuine winning proposition.

9.30 p.m. R10 1 Mystery Power  (4 g No Nay Never - Gems) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 55kg. He has a lot in his favour which he does need to make an impression - good form, drawn barrier one, weight relief - another genuine winning chance.

9.30 p.m. R10 4 Just Landed (5 g Jimmy Choux - Lionstar) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kg. This last start winner is ideally drawn (3) to pose a threat in this event.
