7.45 p.m. R1 5 Lai Mak Mak (7 g O'Reilly - Pretty) - Nik Bakar (a4); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 51kgs. A difficult draw (11), but he carries a light weight and rates a top four chance with luck.
8.15 p.m. R2 1 Aabir (4 g O'Reilly - Neraan) - Nik Bakar (a4); drew barrier 3 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. He is in good form and he rates a top four chance - the first of two in the race for the trainer.
8.15 p.m. R2 2 Astra (4 g Smart Missile - Indian Dream) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 8 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 60kgs. Back in Class 5, he has top weight but does possess place claims.
8.45 p.m. R3 5 Sacred Don (4 g Fastnet Rock - Donatella) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. An improver who rates a top four chance - the first of two for the stable in the event.
8.45 p.m. R3 14 Hidden Promise (6 g Postponed - Promissory) - MM Firdaus (a1); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 52kgs. Second on the ballot and unlikely to gain a start, but he requires a drop back in grade and more distance.
9.15 p.m. R4 11 Gridiron (4 g Captain Gerard - Natural Lil) - Ben Thompson; drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 52kgs. He has been disappointing and needs to improve.
10.45 p.m. R7 4 Time Lord (4 g Guillotine - Mary Agnes) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 2 of 11 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. Ideally drawn (2), he is improving and rates a top four chance - the first of a Mark Walker duo contesting this affair.
10.45 p.m. R7 7 Keng Mak Mak (5 g Red Giant - Celtic Class) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 8 of 11 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. He requires a drop back to Class 4 to again make an impact.
11.20 p.m. R8 6 Smiling Proud (4 g Guillotine - Vitrum) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. He has returned to form and he has top four prospects.
11.20 p.m. R8 13 Sacred Sea (6 g Sea the Stars - Gipsy Countess) - unfixed; drew the outside barrier (12) in the $50,000 Class 4 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. He is first on the ballot and is unlikely to gain a start.
11.50 p.m. R9 4 Augustus (4 g Snitzel - Gussy Godiva) - Nik Bakar (a4); drew barrier 4 of 11 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. Needs to get his rating up for the Derby, 1400 metres a touch short but he still rates top four.
12.20 a.m. R10 8 Sportscaster (5 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy Dancer) - MM Firdaus (a1); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 53kgs. He requires more distance and a drop back to Class 5.
