Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has eight horses entered on Saturday 23 October at Kranji.

Currently leading with 60 wins, Mark Walker was Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), and 2019, runner-up three times, third, and fourth, since Te Akau established its Singapore stable at Kranji in 2010.

5.00 p.m. R1 12 Broadway Success  (6 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - CC Wong; drew barrier 7 of 14 in $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 56kg. A last start winner in tougher field than what he faces this start, he rates a top four chance.

6.00 p.m. R3 3 Reignite  (4 g Sebring - Risk Aversion) - Marc Lerner; drew barrier 9 of 11 in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 57kg. He is enjoying good form, as well as a Class record two starts ago however he does have an awkward draw (9) to navigate.  He can finish the first four if he has any luck from the tricky gate - the first of a Mark Walker duo in the event.

6.00 p.m. R3 11 Grandpa Mick Mac  (6 g Minstrel Court - Zabba) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew outside barrier (11) in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 48.5kg. He requires drop to Class 5 to make his presence felt.

8.30 p.m. R8 6 King Arthur  (4 g I Am Invincible - Pentasia) - CC Wong; drew barrier 9 of 11 in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 54kg. Last start winner in easier field, he rates a place chance.

9.00 p.m. R9 3 Silent Force (6 g Oasis Dream - Priceless Jewel) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 2 of 14 in $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kg. Showed improvement last start and he rates a place chance.

9.00 p.m. R9 8 See Yah (7 g Helmet - Heat of the Fire) - CC Wong; drew barrier 13 of 14 in $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kg. Drawn wide (13), but can run home strongly as place chance.

9.30 p.m. R10 6 Buddy Buddy (7 g Dubawi - Born Something) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 2 of 14 in $50,000 Class 4 1800 metres on turf and carries 51.5kg. His prospects improve with rain, to rate a top four chance.

9.30 p.m. R10 8 Afalonhro  (6 g Lonhro - Armed for Action) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew outside barrier (14) in $50,000 Class 4 1800 metres on turf and carries 51kg. He needs to lift.
