Te Akau Singapore has 12 horses entered on Saturday 9 April at Kranji.
Since Te Akau established its stable at Kranji in 2010, former Te Akau Singapore, now Te Akau NZ, trainer Mark Walker was Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021 with 66 wins, and was also runner-up three times, as well as third and fourth.
4:30 p.m. R2 4 Silent Is Gold (3 g Star Turn - Confident) - CC Wong; drew barrier 2 of 11 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 57kg. He posted a nice debut for third, and while it is difficult to assess him against first starters, he has been working well and rates a top three chance.
5:00 p.m. R3 5 Eagle Eye (7 g Pure Prize - Miss Tessi) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew barrier 7 of 9 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 54.5kg. He is better suited on turf and will be using this as a fitness run.
5:30 p.m. R4 7 Qiji Auston (4 g Spirit of Boom - Light Emission) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1600 metres on poly-track and carries 54kg. He is ideally drawn (4) to make an impact, and he rates a top three prospect.
6:00 p.m. R5 3 Gamely (6 g Golden Archer - Tiny Temptress) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 5 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 57kg. He rates a top four contender back on the poly.
6:30 p.m. R6 1 Flashfast (3 g Dream Ahead - Ohmygod) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 5 of 9 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 59kg. He won a trial nicely, has prepared well and has top four claims on debut.
7:00 p.m. R7 5 God's Gift (5 g Haradasun - Criquette) - Ismadi Amirul (a1); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on poly-track and carries 52.5kg. He receives the opportunity to improve further on his last start fourth - one of a stable duo lining up in the race.
7:00 p.m. R7 6 Foresto (7 g Excelebration - Swiss Current) - Ronald Stewart; drew outside barrier (12) in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on poly-track and carries 53kg. He needs to improve.
7:30 p.m. R8 4 Eastige r(7 g Magic Albert - Quite Astute) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 6 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 53.5kg. Resuming in this event, he shows his best on turf, so is using this outing more as fitness run - one of two in the race for the stable.
7:30 p.m. R8 8 Wednesday (4 g Super One - Shufetish) - Ronald Stewart; drew barrier 4 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 52kg. He posted two seconds before missing last week, but does present the opportunity to bounce back at odds.
9:00 p.m. R11 2 Reignite (4 g Sebring - Risk Aversion) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier 8 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 57kg. He has the nation's leading jockey aboard, is proven at this level and a rates top three chance.
9:30 p.m. R12 6 Super Posh (6 g Super Easy - Posh Bec) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 8 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 57kg. He is a consistent customer who comes in with first four claims.
9:30 p.m. R12 9 Our Secret Weapon (4 g Outreach - Poppy's Pond) - CC Wong; drew barrier 2 of 11 also in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 55.5kg. He went a very good for second last time presented but meet a tougher field, however he is drawn well in his attempt to negate that (2).
