Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 16 horses entered on Saturday 4 June at Kranji.

Following two wins last Saturday, Te Akau trainer Donna Logan moved into second place on the premiership table.

Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over on 1 January from Mark Walker, who returned home to train the Te Akau team at Matamata.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021 with 66 wins, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

6:30 p.m. R4 5 Wednesday (4 g Super One - Shufetish) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier 3 of 11 in $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 57.5kg. With the top rider aboard, he has first four claims.

8:30 p.m. R8 11 Broadway Success (6 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 7 of 11 in $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 47.5kg. He could figure in multiples if everything goes well.

9:00 p.m. R9 7 Sunday (4 g Delago Deluxe - Gentle) - Oscar Chavez; drew barrier 3 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1800 metres on turf and carries 53kg. He is a consistent individual, and his racing style suits this trip, he posted the fastest sectionals last start, and looks a top four proposition.

He is having his first start in Singapore, and while he has won over 1600 metres in Australia, he is using this race as a stepping stone to further.

10:00 p.m. R11 2Hadeer (6 g Savabeel - A Real Princess) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew outside barrier (12) in $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf carries 54kg. He rates a top four contender with luck from the outside draw (12) - one of three entered by the stable.
