Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has eight horses entered on Saturday 10 September at Kranji.

Te Akau trainer Donna Logan is one off the lead in the Trainers' Premiership.

Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over on 1 January from Mark Walker, who returned home to train the Te Akau team at Matamata.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

4:00 p.m. R1 3 Super Posh (7 g Super Easy - Posh Bec) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); drew barrier 6 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 54.5kg. First and second, respectively, in his last two starts, he has the same jockey, and rates a top three with decent trip - in a race with three for the stable.

4:00 p.m. R1 5 Olympia (5 g Gingerbread Man - Second Omen) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew outside barrier (10) in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 55kg. He is a consistent type, but requires luck from a wide draw (10).

4:00 p.m. R1 9 Rahotu (5 g Invincible Spirit - Insoumise) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew barrier 6 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 53kg. He ran a better race last time with blinkers on and look to him to keep improving.

6:00 p.m. R5 4 Diamond Ring (6 g Super Easy - Donna Marie) - Simon Kok (a1); drew barrier 8 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 53.5kg. Just beaten last start, he does face a tougher field, but still does look a first four chance with any luck in the running.

7:30 p.m. R8 7 Wednesday (5 g Super One - Shufetish) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); drew barrier 4 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 49.5kg. It was great to see him break through last start and he has first four claims with the feather weight.

8:00 p.m. R9 2 God's Gift (6 g Haradasun - Criquette) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew barrier 1 of 7 in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on poly-track and carries 54.5kg. A last start winner over 1400 metres, he has however has won over 1700 metres, has drawn ace (1) and he rates top three chance.

8:30 p.m. R10 3 Minister (6 g Street Sense - Light and Variable) - Jake Bayliss; drew 4 of 10 in the $85,000 Class 2 1600 metres on poly-track and carries 55.5kg. He won his only course/distance start, has landed an ideal draw (4) and is a proven performer at this level to prove competitive.

9:00 p.m. R11 6 Master Ryker (7 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew the outside barrier (11) in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 52.5kg. He delivered a strong fresh-up win over 1000 metres in this grade, goes well on this course and over the distance, and rates top three prospect but a lot of luck is needed from the outside draw (11).
