Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 15 horses entered on Saturday 24 September at Kranji.
Te Akau trainer Donna Logan is two off the lead in the Trainers' Premiership. Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over on 1 January from Mark Walker, who returned home to train the Te Akau team at Matamata.
Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.
4:00 p.m. R1 11 Mystery Power (5 g No Nay Never - Gems) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 52.5kg. His form is better than it reads, he prefers the turf, and is looking to improve.
4:30 p.m. R2 3 January (3 g Swiss Ace - Musically) - Simon Kok (a1); drew outside barrier (12) in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on the turf and carries 56kg. He trialled well and has ability, but requires luck from his wide draw (12).
4:30 p.m. R2 13 Luxury Brand (3 g Charm Spirit - Miss Gucci) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on the turf and carries 55kg. BHe sits one on the ballot and is unlikely to make the field.
5:00 p.m. R3 7 Wednesday (5 g Super One - Shufetish) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 9 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 52kg. He rates a top four chance with luck from tricky barrier draw (9).
5:30 p.m. R4 4 Axel (7 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew barrier 10 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on the turf and carries 54kg. A very consistent campaigner, he is looking to improve.
6:00 p.m. R5 10 Winning Stride (4 g Wrote - Tossed and Turned) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 6 of 11 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 57.5kg. He won two trials in New Zealand, is a trial winner in Singapore, has ability and presents as a top three prospect on his Singapore debut.
6:30 p.m. R6 9 Super Impact (4 g Real Impact - Trick) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1600 metres on the turf and carries 55kg. He is a top staying prospect, the blinkers are on, and rates a strong top three chance.
7:30 p.m. R8 6 Eagle Eye (8 g Pure Prize - Miss Tessi) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 54.5kg. He comes in with a good course/distance record and he has first four claims - the first of a Te Akau trained trio lining up in the event.
7:30 p.m. R8 7 Trident (4 g Deep Field - Miss Fi) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 56.5kg. he looks an exciting horse, with the top rider engaged, plus a good draw (2), and he looks very well positioned to throw down a major challenge to this field.
7:30 p.m. R8 8 Flashfast (4 g Dream Ahead - Ohmygod) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 55.5kg. Looking to see improvement, he is ideally drawn (3), and he rates a top four prospect.
8:00 p.m. R9 9 Sunday (5 g Delago Deluxe - Gentle) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 53.5kg. He is capable of finishing in the top three on his lead up work.
8:30 p.m. R10 4 Hadeer (7 g Savabeel - A Real Princess) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 1 of 11 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on the turf and carries 54.5kg. He is another possessing solid course and distance stats, has drawn the ace (1), and is capable of a first four finish.
9:00 p.m. R11 5 Minister (6 g Street Sense - Light and Variable) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $100,000 Class 1 1600 metres on the turf and carries 52kg. He too comes in with good course/distance stats, but will be looking to recapture his best form.
9:30 p.m. R12 3 Brutus (6 g Rubick - Harvest Queen) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 55.5kg. He will enjoy being back on the turf going, has strong course/distance stats, has been freshened, and can run a cheeky race - one of a stable duo lining up in this sprint race.
9:30 p.m. R12 11 Deception (4 g I Am Invincible - Friday Hussy) - Simon Kok (a1); drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 51kg. Again a horse with solid course/distance stats, looking for an improved run and he is up to a first four finish.
