Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview










Te Akau Singapore has twelve horses racing on Saturday 1 February at Kranji. Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and leads the way with 12 wins this year.





6.15 p.m. R1 7 Pearl King (7 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 8 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 53kgs. In good order, he rates a top five chance with luck from the draw (8).





6.15 p.m. R1 10 Lim's Rhythm  (5 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Paixanito) - C K Ng (a3); drew barrier 7 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 53kgs. He has been a touch disappointing and needs a drop in class.





7.45 p.m. R4 3 Clarton Star (4 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Ismail Azhar; drew the outside barrier (11) in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. Racing solidly but requires luck from the draw (11). 





8.15 p.m. R5 1 Sacred Gift (4 g Zoustar - Calcatta) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 7 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. Has won his first two starts, up in weight but he rates a strong winning chance.





8.15 p.m. R5 3 Fulife Brilliance  (4 g Van Nistelrooy - Holy Sunset) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 1 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. He is ideally drawn (1) and looking for an improved performance.





8.45 p.m. R6 2 Try Mak Mak  (3 g Makfi - Shamabelle) - C K Ng (a3); drew barrier 3 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. Last start winner in this grade and ideally drawn (3) to race well again.





9.20 p.m. R7 2 Sacred Judgement (4 g So You Think - Rose Ransom) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 7 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Finished fourth in his first start in Singapore, and rates a top four chance again.





9.20 p.m. R7 3 Bionics  (4 g Hinchinbrook - Bionic Girl) - Ismail Azhar; drew barrier 9 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. Last start winner and top four prospects with luck from barrier nine.





9.20 p.m. R7 5 Bright Sun (4 m Snitzel - Overblik) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 8 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 51.5kgs. Carries a light weight and rates a top four chance with luck from the draw (8).





9.50 p.m. R8 2 Federation  (3 g Written Tycoon - Bloomingdale Miss) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 54kgs. In good form and he rates a top four chance from a handy gate (3).





10.50 p.m. R10 1 Street Cry Success  (5 g Street Cry - Koala Bear) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 59kgs. He drops in grade and hard to beat from barrier four. 





10.50 p.m. R10 9 Broadway Success  (4 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - Ryan Munger; drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 52.5kgs. Up in grade after winning his last two starts, but rates a top four chance with luck from the draw.
