Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview
Date: 18 Feb 2023
Te Akau Singapore has six horses entered on Saturday 18 February at Kranji.
Te Akau Singapore trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the premiership, and currently third. Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022.
Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.
6:00 p.m. R3 9 Master Ryker (7 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 50.5kg. He went a sharp race for second last start and should go well with a decent trip from barrier eight.
6:00 p.m. R3 12 Rocky (4 g El Roca - Anthology) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 49kg. He is assigned a light weight and he rates a top three chance.
8:30 p.m. R8 6 Knippenberg (3 g I Am Invincible - Red Fez) - Ronnie Stewart; he drew barrier 3 of 7 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 55kg. He showed talent winning on debut and faces a sharp rise in class but he has the ability to deliver a top three finish.
10:00 p.m. R11 3 Aftermath (5 g Spirit of Boom - Elusive Gift) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 56.5kg. He capped off three seconds with a well-deserved win, has drawn ace and has first four claims.
10:30 p.m. R12 10 Deception (4 g I Am Invincible - Friday Hussy) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 53kg. He should appreciate the distance, has ability and rates a top four chance.
10:30 p.m. R12 11 Winning Stride (4 g Wrote - Tossed and Turned) - Ronnie Stewart; he drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 52kg. He posted a good resuming run, has trialled well since, carries a light weight, and looks a top three prospect.
