Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has nine horses entered on Saturday 25 March at Kranji.

Te Akau Singapore trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the premiership, and currently fourth. Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

5:00 p.m. R1 11 Diamond Ring (6 g Super Easy - Donna Marie) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 53.5kg. He would be better suited in a somewhat easier field.

5:30 p.m. R2 2 Charmshaab (3 g Charm Spirit - Sehaab) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1600 metres on the turf and carries 53kg. The wide draw (11) makes it a tough assignment.

7:00 p.m. R5 1 Mystery Power (6 g No Nay Never - Gems) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 4 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 58kg. Ideally drawn (4), he rates a top three chance.

7:00 p.m. R5 13 Foresto (8 g Excelebration - Swiss Current) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 51.5kg. The draw (13) makes it a difficult task and he will get back from that gate.

7:00 p.m. R5 14 Gamely (7 g Golden Archer - Tiny Temptress) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 7 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 52.5kg. He needs to improve to make an impact.

8:30 p.m. R8 4 Axel (7 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on the turf and carries 55.5kg. Ideally drawn (2), he has first four claims..

9:30 p.m. R10 1 King Arthur (5 g I Am Invincible - Pentasia) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 3 of 7 in the $100,000 Kranji Stakes A 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 57.5kg. He is a class horse, has strong stats and rates a top three chance.

10:00 p.m. R11 4 Minister (7 g Street Sense - Light and Variable) - Michael Kellady; he drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $300,000 Raffles Cup (Gr. 1, 1600m) on the turf and carries 58kg. He is working very well, is ideally drawn (4), and should race well against some of the best in Singapore.

10:35 p.m. R12 3 Aftermath (5 g Spirit of Boom - Elusive Gift) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 11 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 56.5kg. He brings good course/distance stats to this and rates a top four chance with luck from wide draw (11).
