Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview
Te Akau horses racing at Kranji racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 and 2017 Premiership winning trainer Mark Walker has recorded 42 wins, 59 second and 51 third placings since 1 January - including a Group 1 quinella in the Charity Bowl to add to the season's two Group 2 victories.  He currently lies fourth on the Trainers' Premiership.

6.40 p.m. R2 7 Clarton Palace (3 g Minstrel Court - Zabba) - C K Ng (a3); draws barrier 5 of 12 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1400 metres on turf and carries 51kgs. He is a horse that will require more distance.

7.45 p.m. R4 5 Lim's Rhythm (4 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Paixanito) - Troy See (a1); draws well at barrier 3 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1800 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He is enjoying good form and presents as a top four chance.

8.15 p.m. R5 7 Ancient Warrior (6 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - CK Ng (a3); two for Mark Walker in this Class 3 1100 metres on the poly track - the first draws 7 f 12 and carries 50kgs. He requires a drop back to Class 4 to see the best of him.

8.15 p.m. R5 10 Sacred Sea (5 g Sea the Stars - Gipsy Countess) - MM Firdaus (a1); the second for the stable draws one outside his stablemate (8) in the S$80,000 event and carries 50.5kgs. He too requires a drop back to Class 4.

8.45 p.m. R6 2 Axel (3 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - MM Firdaus (a1); will jump from barrier 6 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs.  The son of the multiple Singapore Champion Sire Darci Brahma, who was himself trained by Mark Walker, he is in good form and a rates a top four chance.

9.55 p.m. R8 9 Atlantic Fox (5 g Savabeel - Kinsella) - Craig Grylls; breaks from the "ace", gate 1 of 12 in the $80,000 Class 3 1600 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. A nice staying horse in the making, he rates a top four chance. The first of two in the event for the stable.

9.55 p.m. R8 11 Sportscaster (5 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy Dancer) - MM Firdaus (a1); the second in the race for Mark Walker is another 5YO who draws out at barrier 10 of 12 and is assigned 52.5kgs. He rates a top four chance despite the trick draw.

10.30 p.m. R9 10 Richebourg (4 g Real Saga - Tallulah Bee) - Glen Boss; another slightly awkward draw here but a top rider to navigate that - barrier 9 of 12 in the $80,000 Class 3 1100 metres on the poly track for this 4YO who carries 52kgs. He is an exciting horse - two starts, two wins - and looks a top four chance.

11.00 p.m. R10 7 Dazzling Speed (4 g Guillotine - Dazzling Belle) - MM Firdaus (a1); draws barrier 9 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs.  Another with a tricky draw, and on that basis rates a place chance.  The first of three for Mark Walker is this race.

11.00 p.m. R10 10 Super Emperor (4 g All Too Hard - Fasline) - Benny Woodworth; the second of the trio fares better draw-wise breaking from gate 6 of 12 with 55.5kgs on his back. He has a tongue tie on after disappointing first up.

11.00 p.m. R10 11 Sacred Guru (5 g Savabeel - Biriyani) - CK Ng (a3); the final runner in this event for the stable, and for the meeting, draws barrier 9 of 12 and carries 51.5kgs. He rates a top four chance despite the awkward draw.
