Te Akau Singapore has seven horses racing on Sunday 20 January at Kranji. Mark Walker lies second on the Trainers' Premiership with three wins, eight second (five on Friday night) and three third placings.
6.10 p.m. R1 1 Astra (4 g Smart Missile - Indian Dream) - Vlad Duric; draws barrier 4 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the polytrack and carries 59kgs. He appears ideally placed to rate a top four chance. The first of two in the race for Mark Walker.
6.10 p.m. R1 5 Gridiron (4 g Captain Gerard - Natural Lil) - Rawali Zawari (a1); unfortunately draws out (11 of 11) in the $30,000 event and carries 55kgs. He improved to finish third last start and should go well again with any luck from the draw.
6.40 p.m. R2 1 Run the Day (4 g Holy Roman Emperor - Rock Exhibition) - Vlad Duric; another race with two stable reps. - the first will spring from the outside barrier (12) in the $38,000 Kranji D 1000 metres on the polytrack and carries 58kgs. A difficult draw but he rates a place chance.
6.40 p.m. R2 2 Super Emperor (4 g All Too Hard - Fasline) - Rawali Zawari (a1); the stablemate draws barrier 7 of 12 and carries 57kgs. He has improved and rates a top four chance.
9.20 p.m. R7 5 Man of Mystery (4 g All Too Hard - Black Minx) - CC Wong (a1); yet another race with a stable duo and this 4YO will break from gate 7 of 9 in the $70,000 Class 3 1000 metres on the polytrack and carry 52kgs. He rates a place chance from an awkward draw.
9.20 p.m. R7 7 Fulife King (3 g Written Tycoon - Brilliant Bisc) - Glen Boss; senior international jockey on the second for the stable in this Class 3 affair where he will jump from the 6 gate in the field of 9 and carry 52.5kgs. He finished second first-up and has improved since to rate a top four chance.
10.30 p.m. R9 12 Black Quail (5 g Coats Choice - Sefidi) - Glen Boss; draws barrier 6 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on the turf and carries 51kgs. He strikes a tough Class 3 race and might need a drop to Class 4.
