Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

24 March, 2019

Te Akau Singapore has five horses racing on Sunday 24 March at Kranji.  Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker currently leads the Trainers' Premiership with 14 wins, a massive 23 second and 14 third placings.

6.55 p.m. R1 3 Ancient Warrior  (6 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 9 of 11 in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. Back in the right grade, but he cops a difficult draw (9) and would love some rain - each way chance.

7.25 p.m. R2 6 Martello  (3 g Coats Choice - Lucrative) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. A first starter, he lacks experience but presents as a place chance.

9.00 p.m. R5 12 Sportscaster(5 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy Dancer) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $70,000 Kranji C 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. He requires a drop back to Class 4.

9.30 p.m. R6 10 Venus De Milo  (4 m Burgundy - Breezed) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. She is awkwardly drawn (9), but finds the right race to rate an each way chance.

10.35 p.m. R8 4 Time to Rock(5 m Time Thief - Six O'clock Rock) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. Two good seconds recently, shame about the draw (10) but still a top four chance with luck.
