Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview
Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 Trainers' Premiership winner Mark Walker again leads the Trainers' Premiership - now with 34 wins (a lead of three) since 1 January.

Sunday 8 May

4.50 p.m. R1 4 SECRET SPICE - Shafiq Rusof; draws wide (10) in this 12 horse field and will ridden by Te Akau's former two time champion apprentice, carrying 56.5kgs. She gets up to the 1600m here which will suit her, just a shame that she has drawn so awkwardly.  If she can overcome the draw, she rates a top four chance.

6.50 p.m. R5 4 AGUILA AZTECA - Shafiq Rusof; draws gate seven, the first of two in the event for Mark Walker and carries 55kgs.  This is her first up run back from a tendon injury and she has had two quiet trials to prepare and rates a top four chance.

6.50 p.m. R5 5 SWAN SONG - Alan Munro; draws two better than his stablemate (5) and will carry 54.5kgs.  The second of the stable duo, he is on his way through to stepping up to a mile. While 1200m might be a touch short for him, it's a suitable race and he positions a top five chance.

7.25 p.m. R6 1 DOUBLE JEOPARDY - Shafiq Rusof; has drawn the ace (1) and carries the top-weight of 57kgs in this field of 12 runners.  This 5YO finds division 2 for the first time in Class 5 and even though he prefers the Polytrack, he is a top five chance.

8.25 p.m. R8 10 ZAC GALLANT - App CK Ng (a3); draws nine of 12 which is not ideal for the 6YO however he only has 49.5kgs on his back thanks to the apprentice claim. It's a shame he missed the 1000m race last week which was more suitable however he is in good form and will be ridden quietly from the draw - top five chance.

10.00 p.m.  R11 11 CLERMONT CLUB - App CK Ng (a3); a nice featherweight of 47.5kgs with the claim for our final runner who has drawn nicely at four.   This race is too short for him but it fits his programme, he needs to drop back to Class 5 to be more competitive.
