Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has nine horses racing on Sunday 20 October at Kranji. Trainer Mark Walker leads the premiership by 21, with 69 wins this year.

5.55 p.m. R1 1 Broadway Success (4 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - Nizar Noor (a4); drew barrier 6 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. A last start winner in easier field, he remains a top four chance racing in the same grade.

7.00 p.m. R3 4 Yulong Edition (4 g Makfi - Bride Unbridled) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 1 of 9 in the $70,000 Class 3 1800 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Going for a hat-trick of wins and he presents as a top four chance.

7.35 p.m. R4 6 Cloudburst (5 g Pour Moi - November Rain) - CK Ng (a3); drew the outside (14) barrier in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 54kgs. Unfortunately drawn widest (14) and he rates a place chance with luck from the awkward draw.

8.35 p.m. R6 2 Beau Geste (5 g Street Cry - Haut Ton) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 3 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He finds a suitable race here and is ideally drawn (3) to make a top four impact.

9.10 p.m. R7 11 Sportscaster (6 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy Dancer) - Ismail Azhar; drew barrier 11 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on turf and carries 52.5kgs. He is better suited over more distance and on the poly track.

9.45 p.m. R8 3 Elite Power (5 g Sakhee's Secret - London Welsh) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 7 of 13 in the $85,000 Fatkid Stakes (Class 2, 1400 metres) on turf and carries 56kgs. He galloped nicely through the week and looks a top four prospect.

10.20 p.m. R9 5 Elite Invincible  (5 g Archarcharch - Dough on the Go) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 13 of 16 in the $800,000 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (Gr. 1, 1800m) on turf and carries 58kgs. Coming back into form and a place chance from the difficult draw (13), he is on target to defend his title in the Singapore Gold Cup.

10.55 p.m. R10 6 Win Mak Mak  (4 g Excelebration - Elusive Desire) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 8 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He disappointed on the poly track and needs to improve on the turf - one of two in the event for the leading trainer.

10.55 p.m. R10 7 Fire Dragon  (4 g Eurozone - Tresor) - John Powell; drew barrier 9 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. He is a nice horse on the way up and can feature in a top four finish.
