Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has sixteen horses racing on Sunday 26 January at Kranji. Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and leads the way with nine wins this year.

6.00 p.m. R1 1 Heart of Courage  (5 g Fastnet Rock - Myrrh) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. In good form and he rates a top four chance.

6.00 p.m. R1 7 Lim's Rhythm  (5 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Paixanito) - Nizar Noor (a3); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 54kgs. He needs further.

6.00 p.m. R1 10 Luck Mak Mak (6 g Alamosa - Danewhisper) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 52kgs. A last start winner, he is up in grade but is a top four chance.

7.00 p.m. R3 5 Hidden Promise (7 g Postponed - Promissory) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 9 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He's enjoying good form and he presents as a top four chance.

7.30 p.m. R4 5 Inherit  (4 g Pierro - In the Future) - Vlad Duric; drew the outside barrier (12) in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He's drawn wide (12) and requires luck to rate a place chance.

7.30 p.m. R4 11 Sportscaster (6 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy Dancer) - C K Ng (a3); drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He requires a drop back to Class 5.

8.00 p.m. R5 3 Dee Mak Mak (4 g O'Reilly - Best Command) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on poly track and carries 57kgs. He has been disappointing.

8.30 p.m. R6 1 Afalonhro  (4 g Lonhro - Armed for Action) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. This last start winner meets a tougher field but is still a top four prospect.

9.00 p.m. R7 8 Time Lord  (5 g Guillotine - Mary Agnes) - Alysha Collett; drew barrier 6 of 13 in the $85,000 Kranji B 1600 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. Disappointed last start, but the step up to a mile suits and he rates a place chance.

9.00 p.m. R7 9 Augustus  (5 g Snitzel - Gussy Godiva) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 7 of 13 in the $85,000 Kranji B 1600 metres on turf and carries 55kg. The 1600 metres suits, as will more distance, thus a place chance.

9.00 p.m. R7 11 Elite Remarkable  (4 g Sebi Halo - Baaltis) - C K Ng (a3); drew the outside barrier (13) in the $85,000 Kranji B 1600 metres on turf and carries 52kg. It makes it tough from the draw (13).

9.35 p.m. R8 3 Barbeque  (5 g Helmet - Heat of the Fire) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 9 of 13 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. He has been a head-scratcher, but varied training could see him shape as a place chance. 

10.10 p.m. R9 10 Elite Power  (5 g Sakhee's Secret - London Welsh) - Wei Hoong (a2); drew barrier 3 of 14 in the $175,000 Fortune Bowl (Gr. 3, 1400m) on turf and carries 49kgs. He meets a hot field, but is drawn well (3), has blinkers on and looks each way chance at odds. 

10.10 p.m. R9 11 Sacred Croix  (5 g Savabeel - Croix Du Sud) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 12 of 14 in the $175,000 Fortune Bowl (Gr. 3, 1400m) on turf and carries 51kgs. He should race well fresh but requires luck from the draw (12) to rate an each way chance. 

10.45 p.m. R10 1 Beau Geste  (5 g Street Cry - Haut Ton) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. Drops in class, aided by weight relief and ideally drawn (4) to rate a top four chance.
