Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 21 horses racing on Sunday 16 August at Kranji.

Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and currently leads with 31 wins this year.

4.30 p.m. R2 7 Our Secret Weapon  (3 g Outreach - Poppy's Pond) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 49.5kgs. He's a nice horse purchased by David Ellis at last year's Ready to Run Sale, specifically to race in Singapore for his Kiwi owners. He has however drawn a touch wide (9), but still rates a strong top three chance.

5.00 p.m. R3 10 Maximillian  (5 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 49.5kgs. He carries a featherweight but does have a wide draw (9) to navigate - he nevertheless can make a first four impact.

5.30 p.m. R4 11 Take A Chance  (3 g Star Witness - Hilylia) - Ruan Maia; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 52.5kgs. He trialled well and rates a top four chance - the first of two in the race for Mark Walker.

5.30 p.m. R4 12 Lady Roxanne  (3 f Darci Brahma - Kindred) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 51kgs. She will be better on the turf.

6.00 p.m. R5 1 Sportscaster  (7 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy Dancer) - Dennis Tan (a4); drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. He would be better over more ground however he still rates a place chance.

6.30 p.m. R6 3 JR Malone  (6 g Sepoy - Leone Chiara) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 7 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. He rates a top four chance in the event with two stable runners.

6.30 p.m. R6 10 Time to Rock (7 m Time Thief - Six O'clock Rock) - Ryan Munger; drew barrier 8 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. She may require a drop to Class 5 to be more competitive.

7.00 p.m. R7 4 Afalonhro  (5 g Lonhro - Armed for Action) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 4 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 53.5kgs. He has been training well and is in a position to make his presence felt in this field.

7.30 p.m. R8 8 Admiral Winston (4 g Declaration of War - Montclair) - Benny Woodworth; drew 1 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. While he rises in class, he has the ability to be considered a top four finisher in another event with two starters for the trainer.

7.30 p.m. R8 10 Black Quail (7 g Coats Choice - Sefidi) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew 9 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 49.5kgs. He cops an awkward draw (9) and as a result, a place chance looks his best opportunity.

8.00 p.m. R9 4 Sacred Croix  (6 g Savabeel - Croix Du Sud) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew the outside barrier (10) in the $85,000 Class 2 1600 metres on turf and carries 49kgs. He rates a top four light weight chance in an even affair that sees a trio of runners for trainer Mark Walker.

8.00 p.m. R9 7 Time Lord  (6 g Guillotine - Mary Agnes) - TH Koh (a1); drew barrier 5 of 10 in the in the $85,000 Class 2 1600 metres on turf and carries 49kgs. Any rain would assist his chances.

8.00 p.m. R9 9 Augustus  (6 g Snitzel - Gussy Godiva) - Rosman Iskandar (a3); drew barrier 1 of 10 in the in the $85,000 Class 2 1600 metres on turf and carries 47kgs. He is a light weight contender.

8.30 p.m. R10 8 Mustengo (5 g Minstrel Court - Zabba) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 6 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 50kgs. He has the possibility of filling a place if things go his way.

8.30 p.m. R10 15 Elite Remarkable (6 g Sebi Halo - Baaltis) - Louis Beuzelin; drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He is unlikely to make the field, sitting at ballot one.

9.00 p.m. R11 1 Exdream  (5 g Dream Ahead - Sboog) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 9 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. He rates a place chance from awkward draw (9).

9.30 p.m. R12 6 Yulong Edition  (5 g Makfi - Bride Unbridled) - Mark Ewe; drew barrier 12 of 16 in the $1m Kranji Mile (Gr. 1, 1600m) on turf and carries 57kgs. Unfortunately he is another that has copped a wide draw (12), on that basis he rates a place chance.

10.00 p.m. R13 8 Inherit  (4 g Pierro - In the Future) - Rehaizat Yusoff (a3); drew the outside barrier (14) in the $70,000 Class 3 1600 metres on turf and carries 52.5kgs. He is a last start winner, but yes, yet another with a car park draw (14) so based on that, a place chance looks best.

10.30 p.m. R14 3 I Am Sacred  (4 g I Am Invincible - Such A Princess) - Nizar Noor (a3); drew barrier 6 of 14 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. He rates a top four chance in an even line up that features three starters for Mark Walker.

10.30 p.m. R14 4 Savvy Command  (4 g Savabeel - Best Command) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 8 of 14 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. He too rates a top four chance.

10.30 p.m. R14 12 Brutus (4 g Rubick - Harvest Queen) - Ruan Maia; drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. Unofrtunately he has a tough draw (13) to overcome, thus he rates a place chance.
