Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview










Te Akau Singapore has nine horses racing on Sunday 25 October at Kranji. 





Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and is currently second with 40 wins this year. 














5.00 p.m. R1 5 Stardice (6 g O'Reilly - Joy) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. His future racing looks likely to be in Malaysia, but he rates a top five contender.





6.30 p.m. R4 4 Happy Friday  (4 g Shooting to Win - Enide) - Andrew John; drew barrier 4 of 14 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Training on well after a good last start second, he rates a top four chance.





7.00 p.m. R5 5 Master Ryker  (5 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 2 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 53.5kgs. He is enjoying good form and presents as a first four finisher.





7.00 p.m. R5 6 Red Rover (6 g O'Reilly - Pin Up) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 9 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He is better suited to the poly track.





9.00 p.m. R9 10 Federation (5 g Written Tycoon - Bloomingdale Miss) - Louis Beuzelin; drew barrier 6 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. Blinkers go on, however he needs to improve on recent form.





9.30 p.m. R9 13 Cousteau  (6 g Exceed and Excel - Maritime) - Ismail Saifudin; drew barrier 5 of 16 in the $400,000 Lion City Cup (Gr. 1, 1200m) on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Tough race for this six year old and will be better suited when he drops back to Class 4.





9.30 p.m. R9 14 Man of Mystery  (6 g All Too Hard - Black Minx) - Mark Ewe; drew barrier 1 of 16 in the $400,000 Lion City Cup (Gr. 1, 1200m) on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Likewise as per his stablemate, he will be better placed in a drop back to Class 4 company.





9.30 p.m. R9 15 Street Cry Success (6 g Street Cry - Koala Bear) - Andrew John; drew barrier 6 of 16 in the $400,000 Lion City Cup (Gr. 1, 1200m) on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Another who will have more impact when dropping back to Class 4.





10.00 p.m. R11 11 What You Like  (7 g Savabeel - Kinsella) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 48kgs. He rates a definite light weight chance if he is able to overcome wide draw (10).
