Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview
27 June, 2021
Te Akau Singapore has 15 horses entered on Sunday 27 June at Kranji.
Currently second, Mark Walker was Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), and 2019, runner-up three times, third, and fourth, since Te Akau established a stable in 2010 at Kranji Racecourse.
6.00 p.m. R3 6 Buddy Buddy (6 g Dubawi - Born Something) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1800 metres on turf and carries 51.5kg. He cops a difficult draw (13) and requires rain to show his best.
6.00 p.m. R3 15 Mustengo (5 g Minstrel Court - Zabba) - unfixed; drew barrier 2 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1800 metres on turf and carries 51.5kg. Ballot one, he does have top four prospects if he makes the field.
6.30 p.m. R4 13 Master Ryker (5 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 58kg. Ballot one, hopefully he too is able to gain a start.
7.00 p.m. R5 6 Hidden Promise (8 g Postponed - Promissory) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on poly-track and carries 49kg. He rates a top five chance in an even field - one of two in this race for trainer Mark Walker.
7.00 p.m. R5 9 Marcus Antonius (3 g Sepoy - Panda's Turn) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a2); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on poly-track and carries 50.5kg. He is capable of featuring in the first five home.
7.30 p.m. R6 6 Hadeer (5 g Savabeel - A Real Princess) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a2); drew barrier 9 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 52.5kg. He looks a place chance in a tough line-up - the first of two in the event for Mark Walker.
7.30 p.m. R6 9 Speedy Missile (4 g Smart Missile - Telegraph Girl) - CC Wong; drew barrier 6 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 53kg. He has been somewhat disappointing of late, but he can improve.
8.00 p.m. R7 3 Stenmark (3 g Medaglia d'Oro - Scandiva) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 12 of 14 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kg. In good form, he rates a top four chance but he will need a lot to go his way from a difficult draw (12). The first of a stable duo in this Novice line-up.
8.00 p.m. R7 4 Elliot Ness (3 g Written Tycoon - Walk With Attitude) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a2); drew barrier 4 of 14 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kg. He appears more suited to the poly-track, but still has first four prospects.
9.00 p.m. R9 2 Sacred Rebel (6 g Sepoy - Pandoro De Lago) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $85,000 Class 2 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 56kg. He has a preference for the poly-track and he has the ability to figure in the finish.
9.00 p.m. R9 6 Zac Kasa (6 g Reset - Unabated) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a2); drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $85,000 Class 2 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 51.5kg. In a race with three stable representatives, this runner has been something of a head-scratcher. However, he can feature in the finish with the light weight he carries.
9.00 p.m. R9 9 Super Invincible (4 g I Am Invincible - Isstoora) - CC Wong; drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $85,000 Class 2 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 50kg. In an even field, he rates a top four chance.
10.00 p.m. R11 4 I Am Sacred (4 g I Am Invincible - Such A Princess) - CC Wong; drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 55.5kg. He looks to have place claims from yet another difficult draw (13) - the first of three Mark Walker starters in the last.
10.00 p.m. R11 7 Silent Partner (5 g Dandy Man - Dolce Dovo) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a2); drew barrier 5 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 52.5kg. He is better over more distance.
10.00 p.m. R11 11 Federation (5 g Written Tycoon - Bloomingdale Miss) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 2 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 50kg. Ideally drawn (2), he looks among the first four propsects.
