Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 12 horses entered on Sunday 25 July at Kranji.

Currently second, Mark Walker was Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), and 2019, runner-up three times, third, and fourth, since Te Akau established its stable at Kranji in 2010.

5.00 p.m. R3 2 Doc Hudson  (6 g Commands - Millyet) - Vlad Duric; drew outside barrier (11) in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 57kg. He rates a top four chance with luck from a challenging draw (11) but he will benefit from the services of the leading rider - one of two runners in the race for trainer Mark Walker.

5.00 p.m. R3 7 Brutus  (4 g Rubick - Harvest Queen) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 8 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 52.5kg. The blinkers go on, he carries a light weight, and as a result, is capable of a first four finish.

6.00 p.m. R5 5 Speedy Missile (4 g Smart Missile - Telegraph Girl) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 52.5kg. He has a decent draw (5) and he looks an each-way chance at odds - the first of a stable duo lining up in this event.

6.00 p.m. R5 8 Silent Force  (6 g Oasis Dream - Priceless Jewel) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 51.5kg. He requires a drop to Class 5 to have an impact.

6.30 p.m. R6 4 Lai Mak Mak (9 g O'Reilly - Pretty) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on poly-track and carries 51.5kg. An older horse, he nevertheless based on his recent work rates a top five prospect - another race with two stable starters.

6.30 p.m. R6 6 Hidden Promise  (8 g Postponed - Promissory) - Shafiq Rusof; drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on poly-track and carries 55kg. Ideally drawn (2), he presents as a top four prospect.

7.00 p.m. R7 7 Axel  (5 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Shafiq Rusof; drew barrier 8 of 9 in the $85,000 Kranji B 1800 metres on turf and carries 55kg. A horse that has been the model of consistency during his Singapore career, he looks to have place prospects in this strong line up.

7.30 p.m. R8 5 Red Rover  (6 g O'Reilly - Pin Up) - Shafiq Rusof; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on poly-track and carries 56kg. Darwn handily (5), he has each-way claims at odds.

8.00 p.m. R9 8 Hadeer (5 g Savabeel - A Real Princess) - Jerlyn Seow (a4); drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 49kg. In another race featuring a stable duo, if he can negate his awkward draw (9), he can pay a dividend.

8.00 p.m. R9 9 Sacred Judgement(5 g So You Think - Rose Ransom) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 51.5kg. The second runner in this sprint for the trainer, he has drawn nicely (4), and he rates an each-way chance at odds.

8.30 p.m. R10 5 Savvy Command (4 g Savabeel - Best Command) - Shafiq Rusof; drew barrier 3 of 9 in the $400,000 Singapore Derby (Gr. 1, 1800m) on turf and carries 57kg. No. 1 & 2 in this classic Group 1 will be very hard to beat but he rates a place chance and is enjoying solid form.

9.00 p.m. R11 5 Buddy Buddy  (6 g Dubawi - Born Something) - Shafiq Rusof; drew outside barrier (14) in the $50,000 Class 4 1800 metres on turf and carries 55.5kg. A nightmare draw (14) to overcome this this a tough task but if any rain comes, he will appreciate those conditions.
