Te Akau Singapore has 11 horses entered on Sunday 8 May at Kranji.

Resident trainer Donna Logan has taken over reins for Te Akau in Singapore, and Mark Walker returned home to New Zealand.

Since Te Akau established its stable at Kranji in 2010, Walker was Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021 with 66 wins, he was also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

 

5:30 p.m. R4 1 Buddy Buddy (7 g Dubawi - Born Something) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 5 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 2000 metres on turf and carries 59kg. He ran well for third last start and any rain would aid, he looks among the top four prospects - the first of a stable duo in the event.

5:30 p.m. R4 11 Foresto (7 g Excelebration - Swiss Current) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew outside barrier (12) in $30,000 Class 5 2000 metres on turf and carries 48kg. He will go forward and carries a competitive light weight of 48kg.

6:00 p.m. R5 2 Olympia (4 g Gingerbread Man - Second Omen) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 8 of 10 in $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 56kg. He rates a top three chance on recent work.

7:00 p.m. R7 9 Hidden Promise (9 g Postponed - Promissory) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew barrier 8 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on poly-track and carries 50kg. He is backing up from racing last Saturday and much depends on how he handles it.

7:30 p.m. R8 11 Super Posh (6 g Super Easy - Posh Bec) - Jake Bayliss; drew outside barrier (11) in $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 56.5kg. He will go back from the tricky draw (11) and is a rough place chance with any luck.

8:30 p.m. R10 2 Gamely (6 g Golden Archer - Tiny Temptress) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew barrier 1 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 57.5kg. He has the ability to utilise his ace draw and presents as a top three prospect - one of three in the race for the team.

8:30 p.m. R10 7 Wednesday(4 g Super One - Shufetish) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier 10 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 54.5kg. He has the top rider aboard and he rates a top four chance with any luck from an awkward draw (10).

8:30 p.m. R10 12 Qiji Star (Star Witness - Galeisha) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 6 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 49kg. He is able to go forward and he too rates a top four chance.

9:00 p.m. R11 1 King Arthur(4 g I Am Invincible - Pentasia) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 1 of 9 in $70,000 Class 3 1000 metres on poly-track carries 56kg. Jumping from the ace draw, he will improve with the run and is capable of a first four finish.

9:30 p.m. R12 2 Stenmark (4 g Medaglia d'Oro - Scandiva) - Oscar Chavez; drew barrier 4 of 12 in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kg. He rates a top four prospect with a good beginning essential - one of two in the event for the trainer.

9:30 p.m. R12 6 Champagne Finale (6 g All Too Hard - Grande Annee) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew outside barrier (12) in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 53kg. He too rates a top four chance if there is any rain about.
