Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has seven horses entered on Sunday 21 August at Kranji.

Te Akau trainer Donna Logan produced four winners last weekend (Sunday 14 August) and now leads the Singapore Trainers' Premiership.

Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan was appointed to the role of Te Akau Singapore stable trainer on 1 January, taking over from Mark Walker who returned home to train the Te Akau team at Matamata.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021 with 66 wins, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

5:00 p.m. R3 3 Rahotu (5 g Invincible Spirit - Insoumise) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew barrier 4 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 57kg. Ideally drawn (4), the blinkers go on and he needs to improve.

7:30 p.m. R8 6 Gamely (7 g Golden Archer - Tiny Temptress) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew outside barrier (12) in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 54kg. He has been mixing form and requires luck from the outside draw (12) - one of two in the event for the stable.

7:30 p.m. R8 12 Wednesday (5 g Super One - Shufetish) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on poly-track and carries 49.5kg. He is still a Maiden after quite a few starts, but get his chance, carrying a light weight and he rates a top three prospect with the right trip.

8:00 p.m. R9 8 Olympia (5 g Gingerbread Man - Second Omen) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 7 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 54kg. He was checked last start so had excuse and he rates a rough place hope at odds - the first of three in the race for the trainer.

8:00 p.m. R9 9 Pindus (7 g Exceed and Excel - Melpomene) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); drew barrier 1 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 55kg. Drawn the ace (1), he comes in with fresh legs, and he rates a top four chance at longer odds.

8:00 p.m. R9 10 Super Posh (7 g Super Easy - Posh Bec) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); drew barrier 9 of 11 in $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 53kg. He was a good last start winner, giving stable apprentice Jamil his first race day win, he rates a top four prospect again.

9:00 p.m. R11 8 Master Ryker (7 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a1); drew outside barrier (10) in $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 50kg. Fresh-up and ready to race, he presents as a top three chance with any luck from the outside draw (10).
