Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 14 horses entered on Sunday 13 November at Kranji.

Te Akau trainer Donna Logan is second in the Trainers' Premiership with 57 wins this year.

Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over on 1 January from Mark Walker, who returned home to train the Te Akau team at Matamata.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

5:00 p.m. R1 2 Eastiger (8 g Magic Albert - Quite Astute) - Vlad Duric; he drew barrier 4 of 12 in then $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the turf and carries 56.5kg. He brings good course/distance stats to the table and has first four claims - the first of a stable trio lining up in the first race on the programme.

5:00 p.m. R1 8 Wednesday (5 g Super One - Shufetish) - Ronnie Stewart; he drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the turf and carries 50kg. Forget his last run, as his prior form is a better indictor. Unfortunately he has again drawn wide (11) and requires luck.

5:00 p.m. R1 9 Gamely (7 g Golden Archer - Tiny Temptress) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the turf and carries 49kg. He is another that needs a bucketful of luck from his wide draw (10).

6:00 p.m. R3 13 Master Ryker (7 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - unfixed; he drew the outside barrier (12) in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly-track and carries 52kg. Sitting number one on the ballot, he is unlikely to gain a start.

6:00 p.m. R3 16 Super Posh (7 g Super Easy - Posh Bec) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 6 of 10 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly-track and carries 46kg. He is four on the ballot, and is also unlikely to gain a start.

6:30 p.m. R4 9 God's Gift (6 g Haradasun - Criquette) - Jake Bayliss; he drew barrier 3 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the turf and carries 55kg. He is handily drawn (3) and he rates a top four chance.

8:00 p.m. R7 1 Our Secret Weapon (5 g Outreach - Poppy's Pond) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries 55kg. His wide draw (11) makes it tough, but he faces a similar race to his previous one where he was runner-up second and he does enjoy weight relief - one of a stable duo stepping out in this event.

8:00 p.m. R7 7 Diamond Ring (6 g Super Easy - Donna Marie) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries 55kg. He is likely to be ridden cold and could surprise at value.

8:30 p.m. R8 7 Kermajack (5 g Kermadec - Kapala) - Louis Beuzelin; he drew barrier 2 of 9 in the $50,000 Class 4 2000 metres on the turf and carries 53.5kg. This is his first start over the longest trip (2000m) in Singapore, however he is required to improve.

9:00 p.m. R9 2 Mystery Power (5 g No Nay Never - Gems) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the turf and carries 55.5kg. He posted good sectionals last time, is handily drawn (3) and is capable of figuring in the finish - in an event with three stable representatives.

9:00 p.m. R9 8 Sunday (5 g Delago Deluxe - Gentle) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the turf and carries 53.5kg. His course/distance form is okay, but the wide draw (11) makes things difficult.

9:00 p.m. R9 11 Foresto (8 g Excelebration - Swiss Current) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the turf and carries 50kg. He needs to step up to feature in the finish.

9:30 p.m. R10 10 Olympia (5 g Gingerbread Man - Second Omen) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 4 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries 54kg. He relishes the course as well as the distance, has an ideal draw (4), and rates a top four chance.

10.30 p.m. R12 1 Charminton (4 g Charm Spirit - Sarzana) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 3 of 12 in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 57kg. He won two starts ago on the poly and this looks nice race for him - with an ideal draw (3), rates a top three prospect.
