Te Akau trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the Premiership, and currently lies third.
Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022. Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.
5:00 p.m. R1 9 God's Gift (6 g Haradasun - Criquette) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 51kg. He posted a solid second last start, has a light weight, combined with a good course/distance, and has first four claims.
7:10 p.m. R5 11 Foresto (8 g Excelebration - Swiss Current) - Ronnie Stewart; he drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 50.5kg. He flashed home last start, but gets back and is capable of being in the top four if he is able to emulate his previous effort.
7:10 p.m. R5 12 Gamely (7 g Golden Archer - Tiny Temptress) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 49.5kg. He is going okay but requires a decent run from his tricky draw (8).
7:40 p.m. R6 2 Stenmark (5 g Medaglia d'Oro - Scandiva) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew the outside barrier (12) in the $70,000 Class 3 1000 metres on the turf and carries 53kg. He possesses good course/distance stats, but tends gets back so look for him finishing strongly and making claims for a top four place with any luck from the wide draw (12).
8:10 p.m. R7 1 Mystery Power (5 g No Nay Never - Gems) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 58kg. He ran good sectionals last time and is another who can figure in the four four home.
9:15 p.m. R9 7 Diamond Ring (6 g Super Easy - Donna Marie) - Simon Kok (a1); drew barrier 9 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 54.5kg. He is another copping a difficult draw (9) and will need an abundance of luck.
9:45 p.m. R10 8 Elliot Ness (5 g Written Tycoon - Walk With Attitude) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 2 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly-track and carries 49.5kg. He is a speedy type, comes in fresh-up, and he will likely to improve with run.
10:20 p.m. R11 5 Minister (7 g Street Sense - Light and Variable) - Michael Kellady; he drew barrier 3 of 16 in the $100,000 Kranji Stakes A 1400 metres on the turf and carries 56.5kg. He races well fresh, has trialled solidly, has a handy draw, looks in good shape, but meets tough field.
11:00 p.m. R12 2 Charminton (4 g Charm Spirit - Sarzana) - Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 55.5kg. He has great course/distance stats, has also trialled well, brings strong form to the table and rates a top three chance with luck from his wide gate (11).
11:00 p.m. R12 9 Fadaboy (4 g Deep Field - Ezee Ezee) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 52kg. Freshened, he is likely to be ridden off the will pace, but has gears and is capable.
11:00 p.m. R12 11 Champagne Finale (7 g All Too Hard - Grande Annee) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 47kg. He comes in with a feather weight, is a course/distance winner, and any rain on day his aids prospects.
