Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview
Date: 11 Feb 2024
Te Akau Singapore has six horses entered on Sunday 11 February at Kranji.
7:00 p.m. R4 7 King Gee (4 g Invader – Cariad) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); he drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 49.5kg. Fresh-up, he won a recent trial and has the speed to negate his wide draw (10) and shapes as a first four contender.
9:30 p.m. R9 5 Gun (3 g Extreme Choice – Myrtle Turtle) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); he drew barrier 4 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 49.5kg. He rates a top four chance back on the turf, on which he has won previously.
10:00 p.m. R10 1 Istataba (5 m Treasure Beach – Coordenada) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); she drew barrier 8 of 9 in the $70,000 Class 3 1600 metres on the turf and carries 56kg. She ran a very good third in the $1 million Singapore Gold Cup (Gr. 1, 2000m), possesses good course/distance stats, and will settle back and hit line as a top three prospect - one of two in the event for the stable.
10:00 p.m. R10 4 Tangible (9 g Trippi – Ebony Flyer) – Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 4 of 9 in the $70,000 Class 3 1600 metres on the turf and carries 56kg. He raced wide when resuming, is now back in class, and should be finding the line strongly.
10:30 p.m. R11 14 King Arthur (6 g I Am Invincible – Pentasia) – Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew the outside barrier (16) in the $110,000 Fortune Bowl (Gr. 3, 1400m) on turf and carries 53kg. He is better than his recent form indicates, and if he can regain that confidence and negate his car park gate (16) he can figure in the finish.
11:05 p.m. R12 2 Charminton (5 g Charm Spirit – Sarzana) – Fadzli Yusoff (a2); he drew barrier 3 of 10 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 54.5kg. He trialled well recently, is ideally drawn (3) to feature, and he rates a top four chance.
