Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has eight horses entered on Sunday 12 May at Kranji.

30 p.m. R1 5 Red Maned (5 m Burgundy – Imagunakepa) – Darren Danis (a1); she drew barrier 5 of 10 in the S$30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 53kg. She has had a month between runs, has speed, and at hr best, can be a realistic top four chance.

00 p.m. R2 1 Prince Lonhro (4 g Lonhro – Palace Gardens) – Ruan Maia; he drew barrier 4 of 12 in the S$20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 59kg. He has first four claims, jumping from a handy gate (4).

30 p.m. R5 1 Contarelli (4 g Caravaggio – Dark And Stormy) – Carlos Henrique; he drew barrier 5 of 12 in the S$30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 59kg. He drops in grade for this assignment and he too is more than capable of a first four finish.

30 p.m. R5 13 God’s Gift (7 g Haradasun – Criquette) – Unfixed; he drew barrier 3 of 12 also in the S$30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 50.5kg. Sitting at number one on the ballot, he is unlikely to gain a start.

30 p.m. R7 2 Axel (8 g Darci Brahma – Josephines Fortune) – Manoel Nunes; he drew barrier 10 of 12 in the S$50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 55.5kg. A 10-time winner, he actually won when last combined with this rider. He is likely get back in the running from that barrier, and will be looking to reignite as a top four chance.

00 p.m. R8 3 Fadaboy (5 g Deep Field – Ezee Ezee) – Manoel Nunes; one of two in the event for the stable, he drew the outside barrier (11) in the S$30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 58kg. He ran home well in Class 5 last start and can be in the first four home if he secures luck from his wide gate (11).

00 p.m. R8 8 Rhett Butler (3 g Charm Spirit – Thurlow) – Luis Corrales; he drew barrier 1 of 11 also in the S$30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 57kg. He requires improvement to make an impact.

00 p.m. R10 14 Santino (3 g Santos – Mercy’s Choice) – Unfixed; he drew the outside barrier (12) in the s$50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 51.5kg. At ballot two, he is unlikely to make the field.
