Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview
28 July, 2024
Te Akau Singapore has two horses entered on Sunday 28 July at Kranji.
Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022 and trained over 100 winners since, including runner-up in the premiership.
Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.
4:30 p.m. R1 6 Rhett Butler (3 g Charm Spirit – Thurlow) – Darren Danis (a1); he drew barrier 4 of 9 in the S$30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 54kg. He receives the opportunity to improve on his recent form by stepping up to 1400 metres.
9:10 p.m. R10 2 Stenmark (6 g Medaglia d’Oro – Scandiva) – Bruno Queiroz; he drew barrier 10 of 14 in the S$50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 59kg. He drops back in grade and brings strong course/distance stats to the contest. He will likely have to settle back from tricky draw (10) and look to see him finish strongly as a top four prospect.
