Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 Trainers' Premiership winner Mark Walker lies third on the Trainers' Premiership - now with 67 wins since 1 January as the season comes to a close shortly.
Sunday 20 November
5.45 p.m. R1 1 AHMAR - Oscar Chavez; two stable runners to kick off the day's racing off for the team. The first has drawn best (1) in this Kranji Stakes D SW 1400m on the turf long course B and carries joint top weight of 58kgs. he has been steadily improving in each of his three Singapore starts with a solid third last time presented - he is in good form but it's a strong field being Gold Cup Day - a top four chance.
5.45 p.m. R1 2 MOMENT OF JUSTICE - Manuel Nunes; the second for Mark Walker draws out at 12 in the field of 14 and is also weighted with 58kgs. His recent form has been very good with a win and three second or third placings from his last four outings. He is in top form, shame about the wide draw but if he has luck, a top four chance.

6.15 p.m. R2 8 JACK'S SECRET - Shafiq Rizuan; another race with two for the stable and in fact both runners for Fortuna. The first has drawn 10 of 14 in the Initiation 4YO+Below WFA 1400m on the turf long course B and will carry 56.5kgs. He is having just his third Singapore start and with a good third on debut and a top effort for second at just his second start, he is proving very competitive. This son of Sakhee's Secret out of a NZ Group 2 winning mare is in very good form but needs luck in the running from his difficult barrier - a top four chance.
6.15 p.m. R2 13 PRINCE DARCI - S Anandan (a1); the second for the stable has drawn even out further than his stablemate (14) and with the apprentice claim, will carry only 51kgs. He has disappointed a touch since arriving in Singapore but with more time to acclimatise the best could be yet to come.

6.45 p.m. R3 8 TURQUOISE KING - Manuel Nunes; in the Open Benchmark 67 1400m also on the turf long course B, he has drawn the ace and faces 11 opponents with 56.5kgs on his back. He needs to drop down to an easier grade to be competitive.

7.45 p.m. R5 7 SHOW FAR SHOW GOOD - App R Zawari (a2); this 4YO son of Showcasing is on debut today and will jump from gate nine, carrying 56kgs with the apprentice allowance. In this 14-strong field for the Class 4 1200m on the turf long course B, he is a nice horse having his first start and will need more distance.

8.45 p.m. R7 2 IKING - App R Zawari (a2); in this S$60,000 Open Benchmark 67 1400m on the turf long course B, he draws midfield (7) in the field of 12 and carries 56kgs with the apprentice aboard. With two second placings from his last three appearances, he is a grand old campaigner enjoying good form - top four chance.

9.50 p.m. R9 1 NAZIR - Shafiq Rizuan; again two runners for Mark Walker and both tough last start winners. The first has drawn the best (5) for this Open Benchmark 67 1600m on the turf long course B and will carry 57kgs. He steps out in the famous colours, is in great form - a top four chance.
9.50 p.m. R9 3 STORM TROOPER - Manuel Nunes; the second last start winner is a horse who performs to his best if there is rain. he draws well out (13) and will carry 56.5kgs with the top rider up. This son of Tavistock is up in grade but the draw won't help his chances - with that luck a top four chance.

11.10 p.m. R11 4 LIM'S KNIGHT - App Y Salim (a4); the final runner tonight take his place in this Class 4 1200m on the turf long course B - drawing well (5) and carrying 55kgs with the weight relief. He has freshened up nicely, the claim assists - a top four chance.
