Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 Trainers' Premiership winner Mark Walker lies third on the Trainers' Premiership - now with 67 wins since 1 January as the season comes to a close shortly.

6.25 p.m. R2 8 LIM'S SIGNATURE - Vlad Duric; in the first for the stable, it is start number three for this 3YO son of Swiss Ace who has drawn 10 of 12 in the S$75,000 Restricted Maiden 2&3YO WFA 1100m on the polytrack.  Carrying 57kgs, he is still acclimatising.

6.55 p.m. R3 10 BRAHMS AND LISZT - App CK Ng (a3); this veteran 7YO jumps seven of 11 in the Class 4 1200m on the polytrack.  With the apprentice claim taking him down to just 47.5kgs, he needs to drop to Class 5 to be competitive.

7.25 p.m. R4 4 ANCIENT WARRIOR - Manuel Nunes; this 4YO son of Iffraaj is having his Singapore debut this evening in the S$65,000 Initiation 4YO+Below WFA 1000m on the polytrack.  He has drawn seven of nine and carries 57.5kgs.  A new addition to the stable, he is a nice horse - 1000m will be too short for him but is a stepping stone - a place chance.

9.25 p.m. R8 5 CLERMONT CLUB - Shafiq Rizuan; in this Class 5 1700m on the polytrack, he will jump from gate five and carries 55.5kgs.  Facing a field of 11 opponents, he comes in to this nice a fresh - a top four chance.

10.00 p.m. R9 8 CLUTHA LAD - App CK Ng (a3); dropping to a featherweight of 47.5kgs with the apprentice allowance, he has drawn six of nine for the Class 4 1700m on the polytrack.  This son of Thorn Park needs to drop to Class 5.

11.05 p.m. R11 10 ASPEN - App CK Ng (a3); in this S$60,000 Class 4 1200m on the polytrack, he has the widest draw (11 of 11) but carries 52kgs.  If it rains his chances will be enhanced and he too needs to drop to Class 5.
