Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

The 2015 Champion Singapore Trainer and Trainers' Premiership winner, the Akau's Mark Walker (who finished third on the 2016 Trainers' Premiership) has trained 22 winners this season and currently leads the Trainers' Premiership.

5.50 p.m. R1 13 PRETTY ELUSIVE - App R Zawari (a2); to start the day's racing she has drawn eight ion the field of 12 runners for the Class 5 1000m on the polytrack and will carry 54kgs with the apprentice claim. A winner three starts back, she gets off the ballot - a place chance.

6.20 p.m. R2 4 LIMS CONTROL - App Z Syed (a4); in this Open Maiden WFA 1400m on the turf long course D, he has drawn the outside (11) in the 11 starter line-up. With a weight relief to 54kgs, he has been disappointing.

6.50 p.m. R3 1 LIMS KNIGHT - App R Zawari (a2); last start winner draws six of nine in the Open Benchmark 67 1200m on the turf long course D and with the apprentice up, drops to 57kgs. He is in good form - top four chance.

7.20 p.m. R4 1 PURE JUSTICE - Manuel Nunes; two for Mark Walker, the first draws best (6) and carries 58kgs for this Kranji Stakes D SW 1200m on the turf long course D. A runner up last start, he is on the improve - top five chance.

7.20 p.m. R4 3 STAR STRIKE - Shafiq Rizuan; the second stable rep. draws 10 of 12 and also carries 58kgs. A last start winner, he has drawn wide but still rates a top four chance.

8.20 p.m. R6 11 UNSURPASSED - App S Anandan (a1); a field of 11 runners and this winner two starts ago has drawn the coveted ace (1) for the Class 4 1100m on the polytrack and with the apprentice aboard, carries just 50kgs. He draws well - top five chance.

8.50 p.m. R7 3 TOLIMAN - Manuel Nunes; another with good form on the board (5-4-2) who should prove competitive in this Class 3 1400m on the turf long course D where he has drawn gate two and carries 57kgs for the champion rider in a field of 12. His first start for the stable - needs more distance.

9.25 p.m. R8 1 AHMAR - App R Zawari (a2); in this Kanji DStakes D SW 1200m also on the turf long course D, he will jump from barrier seven and carry 56kgs with the apprentice claim. A solid formaline of (5-2-3) indicates he is closing in on a win and he ran a couple of good races recently - top four chance.

10.00 p.m. R9 11 EATON'S GOLD - App S Anandan (a1); this grand campaigner draws beautifully (1 of 11) for the Open Benchmark 97 1100m on the polytrack where he will carry just 49kgs with the claim. He is a veteran now but with this featherweight he can run a cheeky race - top four chance.

10.35 p.m. R10 3 AWATERE - Shafiq Rizuan; good to see him back for the Forsyth family in this Class 4 1100m on the polytrack where he breaks from gate two with 56.5kgs to carry. The winner of two of his last four, he faces 10 competitors and resuming here, he needs more distance - place chance.

11.05 p.m. R11 6 DAMON - Danny Beasley; this very consistent galloper is the final runner for Mark Walker and lines up in this Class 4 1600m on the turf long course D where he has drawn 10 of 12 starters and carries 56kgs. He is in good form - top four chance.
