28 May, 2017
The 2015 Champion Singapore Trainer and Trainers' Premiership winner, the Akau's Mark Walker (who finished third on the 2016 Trainers' Premiership) has trained 36 winners and currently leads the Trainers' Premiership.

Sunday 28 May
5.50 p.m. R2 1 QINGDAO - App R Zawari (a2); the day begins with Mark Walker lining up three of the 12 runners in the Initiation 4YO+Below WFA 1400m on the turf short course A. The first, this 4YO son of Volksraad, has drawn barrier five and will carry 56kgs with the two kilo apprentice aboard. He needs to step up.
5.50 p.m. R2 6 O'REILLY STAR - Shafiq Rizuan; the second for the stable in this
S$65,000 event will jump from gate seven and carry 56kgs. A 3YO son of O'Reilly as his name suggests, he hasn't had much luck since arriving in Singapore so that must be due to change. On the back of his strong last start third placing, he has his first start in blinkers tonight and rates a top four chance.
5.50 p.m. R2 8 PRINCE DARCI - Alan Munro; the last of the stable trio draws gate six and carries 56kgs. It was a much improved effort last start when he finished runner up - a slow maturer, he is improving - a top four chance.
6.25 p.m. R3 10 LIM'S REGARD - Glen Boss; this son of Red Giant is on debut tonight, having travelled from New Zealand. He starts his racing career in this Open Maiden WFA 1200m on the turf short course A where he breaks from barrier eight of 13 runners and will carry 56kgs with the international rider up. He will take plenty of improvement from this.
6.55 p.m. R4 3 ANCIENT WARRIOR - Shafiq Rizuan; a smart winner two starts ago, this 4YO Iffraaj gelding draws well (2) in the Class 4 1600m on the polytrack where he will carry 57.5kgs. Facing 11 other opponents, he steps up to 1600m for the first time - it's a bit of a query but if he can stay - a top four chance.
7.25 p.m. R5 4 ELHAAME - Vlad Duric; another good draw (2) for this 3YO in the Class 5 1200m on the polytrack but with 58kgs to carry. He has weighed in at three of his past five starts - in good form, a top four chance.
8.25 p.m. R7 1 AWATERE - Shafiq Rizuan; raced by the Forsyth family, this 3YO son of Charge Forward draws 7 of 10 for the Class 4 1400m on the turf short course A and is weighted with 58kgs. A last start winner, he surprised last start but can go on with it - top four chance.
9.35 p.m. R9 1 LIM'S KNIGHT - App R Zawari (a2); to close off the night, three runners for Mark Walker in the Open Benchmark 67 over 1000m on the polytrack. The first comes in with a very competitive form line (3-2-1-2-5) and will jump from the six gate with 55kgs to carry, courtesy of the apprentice allowance. This 4YO is fresh but the 1000m is too short - place chance.
9.35 p.m. R9 9 STAR GENIUS - Vlad Duric; the second for the stable also has very solid form on the board (2-4-3-3-3-), draws nicely (3 of 11) and has 54.5kgs on his back. He is enjoying good form - a top four chance.
9.35 p.m. R9 11 DECRETO - I Azhar; the final “leg of this treble†won nicely at his first start and been average at his last couple since. Tonight he jumps from the five gate and carries just 50.5kgs. He needs to drop a grade to be competitive.
