8.20 p.m. R6 10 SHAQRAA - Manuela Nunes; draws okay at seven for Nunes in the Initiation 4YO and Below 1200m on the turf long course E. One of two in the race for Mark Walker, she looks better suited to the turf and rates a top five chance.
8.20 p.m. R6 11 VRAAD - Shafiq Rusof; the second of the Te Akau team in this event, Vraad is a recent arrival from New Zealand and was a touch disappointing first up. However on the turf today, he should be better suited and, as an improver, rates a top four chance from his nice draw of five, carrying 55kgs.

8.50 p.m. R7 1 BIG BANKER - Danny Beasley; another who has copped a less than favourable draw for his Class 5 1800m assignment. Last start was encouraging so it is a shame he has drawn wide as he will need luck from out there. If he can overcome that challenge, and he has the rider to do so, carrying 57kgs he rates a top five chance. One of two in the event for Mark Walker.
8.50 p.m. R7 3 SPEED CRAFT - Manuel Nunes; the second in the race for the stable and jumping from barrier nine, he carries 57kgs. He has improved during the week with a tongue tie added and rates an outside chance.
