The 2015 Champion Singapore Trainer and Trainers' Premiership winner, Te Akau's Mark Walker (who finished third on the 2016 Trainers' Premiership) has trained 70 winners - including a winning treble on Friday. He continues to dominate the Trainers' Premiership - now with a 28-win lead.

Sunday 27 August

5.50 p.m. R3 1 CHAMPAGNE REIN - Shafiq Rizuan; a handy draw (3 of 12) for Mark Walker's first runner of the day in this Open Benchmark 67 1000m on the polytrack. A winner two starts ago, this 6YO son of Captain Rio will carry 59kgs and might need to get back to Class 4 company to be competitive.

8.05 p.m. R7 7 SACRED GALAXY - Craig Grylls; following a nice debut for fourth, this Raffles' Racing runner lines up in this Class 4 1400m on the turf short course E and carries 54.5kgs. With the visiting Kiwi rider aboard, he will break from barrier three in this 12-strong S$60,000 event - he is an improving type and the blinkers go on for the first try over 1400m - each way chance.

9.15 p.m. R9 5 AHMAR - Ismail Saifudin; with a widish draw to contend with (7 of 12), he sports a solid form line (3-2-1-7-1) and will carry 56.5kgs in the Kranji Stakes C SW 1200m on the turf short course E. Hunting down a major share of the S$80,000 on offer, he's been racing well in his grade however this step up may be a bit strong and look for him when back in Class 4 company.
