Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

The 2015 Champion Singapore Trainer and Trainers' Premiership winner, Te Akau's Mark Walker (who finished third on the 2016 Trainers' Premiership) has trained 77 winners (including a winning treble last Sunday) - he continues to dominate the Trainers' Premiership - now with a 24-win lead.
Sunday 8 October
7.10 p.m. R3 6 DECRETO - Shafiq Rizuan; first for the day for Mark Walker in this Class 4 1100m on the polytrack where this 4Yo draws barrier 10 (of 12) and carries 53.5kgs. A son of Red Giant, he is non good form - a top four chance.
8.15 p.m. R5 4 SHE'S THE ONE - Ismail Azhar; this Murtajill filly sadly draws the outside gate (12) in the Class 5 1600m on the turf short course D and carries 58.5kgs. With two second placings from her last four starts, the 4YO faces 11 competitors and finds a weak field - top four chance.
8.45 p.m. R6 6 SHOW FAR SHOW GOOD - App R Zawari (a2); a last start winner, this Showcasing gelding will break from gate seven in the 12-strong Open Benchmark 74 over 2000m on the turf short course D. This 5YO will carry 54 kgs with the apprentice allowance and while there is a bit of a question mark at the 2000m she did win well last start.
9.50 p.m. R8 13 VIVIANO - Shafiq Rizuan; unfortunately sitting number one on the ballot for the S$125,00 Racing Guide Classic over 1400m on the turf short course D, if he can make the field he will jump from gate two and carry 55.5kgs. If he gets a run - a top five chance.
10.55 p.m. R10 1 BAO SHAN MAGIC - App R Zawari (a2); three runners in the last for the stable and the first, this former Kiwi horse draws wide (10) and carries 55kgs with the apprentice up in the Class 3 1200m on the turf short course D. In his three starts to date in Singapore he has finished second on debut followed by back to back wins - he is hunting the hat trick which is always hard to do - top four chance.
10.55 p.m. R10 8 IVANHOE - Shafiq Rizuan; another last start winner who races in the world famous colours of Dato Tan Chin Nam, this 5YO draws the widest (12 of 12) and carries 53kgs. This second runner for the stable rises in class and has a tricky draw - place chance.
10.55 p.m. R10 9 ANCIENT WARRIOR - Craig Grylls; the final runner of the Walker trio was a winner three starts ago for his New Zealand owner Greg McCarthy and he draws midfield (6) with just 52.5kgs assigned. This 5YO by sire on fire Iffraaj, he may need to get back to Class 4 to be a winning proposition.
