Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 and 2017 Premiership winning trainer Te Akau's Mark Walker kick started 2018 and the new season on 1 January with a winning double.
Sunday 14 January
8.30 p.m. R6 1 ELITE INVINCIBLE - Vlad Duric; the combination of 2017's Champion Trainer and Champion Jockey is back in business aboard this very capable 4YO in the Class 3 1400m on the turf long course B. The top weight with 57kgs, he draws to be dangerous (2 of 9) as he looks to repeat his debut Singapore win at this, his third start. He disappointed last start but does step up to more suitable 1400m - a top four chance.
9.00 p.m. R7 4 HIDDEN PROMISE - Craig Grylls; two stable reps. in this S$80,000 event - the Kiwi rider takes charge of this Fortuna starter in the Class 3 1800m on the turf long course B. Weighted with 55.5kgs, the 5YO draws the ace marble and will be looking for his third win from his last six outings. The 1800m suits him - top four prospect.
9.00 p.m. R7 8 LIM'S REGARD - Glen Boss; the second for the stable in this field of only nine runners draws out (10) and has 52.5kgs on his back. Racing solidly, this 4YO by Red Giant been unlucky in recent racing and the wide draw does not assist his chances - nonetheless he does rate an each way chance.
10.10 p.m. R9 6 MOMENT OF JUSTICE - App CK Ng (a3); a winner two starts ago, this 5YO has only 51kgs assigned for the Class 3 1400m on the turf long course B. Drawing eight in the 11-strong field, he may need to gte back to Class 4 level to again salute the judge.
10.40 p.m. R10 1 COLORADO PRINCE - Vlad Duric; top weight for this Class 4 Premier 1200m on the turf long course B with 57kgs allotted. Having his second Singapore start, the 4YO Alamosa gelding, who is a brother to stakes' winners Darci's Dream and Windborne, he unfortunately draws the outside alley in the field of 13. His debut was a touch disappointing and the wide draw today does not aid his prospects - needs to improve on his first-up performance.
