Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 and 2017 Premiership winning trainer Mark Walker has recorded 36 wins, 50 second and 45 third placings since 1 January - including a Group 1 quinella in the Charity Bowl to add to the season's two Group 2 victories.  He currently lies fourth on the Trainers' Premiership.

4.50 p.m. R1 7 Richebourg (4 g Real Saga - Tallulah Bee) - Razali Zawari (1); draws barrier 2 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 56.5kgs. He defeated a relatively soft Maiden field last start and is ideally drawn to rate a top four chance.

5.20 p.m. R2 6 Analyst (3 g Darci Brahma - Pins ‘N' Needles) - MM Firdaus (a1); will jump from barrier 2 of 14 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He is having his first start and is well related but he needs to improve on his trial form.

5.50 p.m. R3 10 Time to Rock (5 m Time Thief - Six O'clock Rock) - Vlad Duric; draws gate 6 of 12 in the $80,000 Kranji C 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 56.5kgs. A nice mare, but she faces a tough field, and rates a chance to finish top four.

6.20 p.m. R4 5 Viviano (7 g Keeper - Flying Florence) - Hanafi Noorman (a4); breaks from barrier 5 of 11 in the $125,000 Kranji A 1200 metres on turf and carries 51kgs. An older horse now and he may require dropping in grade.

6.50 p.m. R5 4 Sacred Sea (5 g Sea the Stars - Gipsy Countess) - Vlad Duric; draws barrier 5 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 2000 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He continues to race in good form and a top four chance in this field where Mark Walker lines up two.

6.50 p.m. R5 11 Prince Darci (5 g Darci Brahma - Obsession) - Alysha Collett; the second for the stable will break from the six gate and carries 57kgs. He probably requires Class 5 to prove more competitive.

8.25 p.m. R8 10 Cousteau (4 g Exceed and Excel - Maritime) - Vlad Duric; draws barrier 4 of 12 in the $80,000 Kranji C 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. He is enjoying great form, but looks a place chance in a tough field.

9.35 p.m. R10 1 Lim's Regard (5 g Red Giant - Celtic Class) - Razali Zawari (a1); springs from gate 9 of 14 in the $80,000 Kranji C 1400 metres on turf and carries 58.5kgs. Back from contesting the Singapore Derby (Gr. 1, 1800m), he does require more distance.

10.50 p.m. R11 4 Lim's Zoom (4 g Zacinto - Sound Decision) - Vlad Duric; draws barrier 10 of 14 in the $45,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He is also enjoying good form and rates a top four chance.
