Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore this weekend:
Friday December 5 -
12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R3 2 Soul Commander (6 g Commands - Bartolomeo) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier three of ten in the $60,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 58kgs. Ideally drawn in not an overly strong field, he has the services of the leading rider in Singapore.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 6 Mala Mala (4 g Any Suggestion - Waitui Belle) - Corey Brown; drew barrier four of fourteen (12 run) in the $35,000 Maiden 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. Working well, he has drawn nicely and has a class rider aboard to enable a top four finish.

1.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 1 Hardcore Rock (4 g Fastnet Rock - River Dreaming) - Lisa Allpress; drew barrier three of twelve in the $60,000 Class 4 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. He has pleased trainer Mark Walker with his work and condition and from a handy gate receives an ideal opportunity to prove himself beyond a mile.

He has factors in his favour: weaker field, good barrier, and top rider, to be considered a top four chance.

His style of racing is to drop back and run home strongly and Class 4 will make his task easier of finishing in the first five - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

Making her debut, she has trialled nicely and let find her feet the aim is for her to find the line as a top four chance.

5.50 p.m. R1 10 Select Gathering (6 g Choisir - Naturally) - Wei Sheng Chan (a4); drew barrier six of twelve in the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 52.5kgs. Bright and happy and in receipt of weight relief, he is not far away from contesting Class 5.

6.50 p.m. R3 2 Prince Mag (5 g Zamindar - Princess D'Orange) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier eight of ten in the $38,000 Kranji D 1900 metres on the poly track and carries 58kgs. Expected to appreciate the trip, he will settle off the pace and appears capable of finishing in the top four with this rider aboard.

10.35 p.m. R10 3 My Lucky Strike (3 g Charge Forward - Hanna Rossa) - Lisa Allpress; drew barrier nine of ten in the $75,000 Novice 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. Pleasing Mark Walker since his first up win, when overcoming a wide gate, he does face a stronger field but can finish top four - one of three in the race for Te Akau.

10.35 p.m. R10 9 Appellation (3 g Pentire - Tattinger) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier two of ten in the $75,000 Novice 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 51.5kgs. Seems bright and well to make his debut in Singapore, and will only improve for the experience.
10.35 p.m. R10 10 Jimmy Rea (3 g Thewayyouare - Maureen Terese) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier six of ten in the $75,000 Novice 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 52.5kgs. He trialled well and now makes his debut. While improvement will come from the outing he can finish in the first four.
11.05 p.m. R11 6 Zac Suggestion (5 g Any Suggestion - Paris Sky) - Razali Zawari (a3); drew the outside barrier of fourteen (12 run) in the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 53.5kgs. Returning off a spell, the aim is to settle back off the wide gate and run home encouragingly - one of two in the race for Te Akau. Clermont Club (5 g Casino Prince - Razzle) is on the ballot.

11.35 p.m. R12 1 Om (5 g Darci Brahma - Songfest) - David Flores; drew the outside barrier of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Benchmark 67 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. Although having shown his best on turf, he will be ridden quietly, taking improvement for the run and start the new season in January on the turf - one of two in the race for Te Akau.
