Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore this weekend.

Friday February 6

11.20 p.m. R1 2 Sacred Spin (4 g Hard Spun - Destina) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier eight of eleven in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on the Turf Long Course A and carries 58kgs. Trained on well since his good first up third and should receive every opportunity on the long course to finish in the first five.

11.50 p.m. R2 1 Keen Dragon (4 g Hidden Dragon - Wasatch) - Craig Newitt; drew barrier eight of ten in the $65,000 Initiation Stakes 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 57.5kgs. Trainer Mark Walker is happy with the horse and feels he will finish off strongly with luck in the running a wide barrier.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R3 3 Riedel (5 g Saperavi - La Conga) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier two of ten in the $60,000 Class 4 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. Working well and he is ideally drawn to figure in the first four - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R3 4 Iking (4 g Holy Roman Emperor - Lacada) - Harry Kasim (a1); drew barrier nine of ten in the $60,000 Class 4 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. Was without much luck last time and can produce an improved performance with a nice trip in transit.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 7 Mala Mala (4 g Any Suggestion - Waitui Belle) - Michael Rodd; drew barrier seven of fourteen in the $38,000 Kranji D 1600 metres on the Turf Long Course A and carries 56.5kgs. He scored a deserved maiden win last start over 1400 metres on the turf and should go well again given his consistency.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 5 Single Act (5 g Bachelor Duke - Consumer) - Razali Zawari (a3); drew barrier two of twelve in the $35,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 53kgs. Drops back in grade and ideally drawn, he has a talented apprentice aboard to give him every chance of a good run.

The winner of three from three he faces his stiffest task, but has terrific determination and drawn very well.

2.50 a.m. (Saturday) R8 12 Gods Speed (5 g Circular Quay - Gods Ear) - Harry Kasim (a1); drew barrier two of four in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on the Turf Long Course A and carries 54kgs. Although suited to more distance he has drawn nicely to rate as a top five chance.

3.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 3 Q Nine Magic (4 g Guillotine - Skay Way) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier eight of thirteen in the $60,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the Turf Long Course A and carries 57kgs. He trialled nicely in preparation for his first start in Singapore, having won twice racing as The French Way in New Zealand, and could run first four with a decent trip.

6.50 p.m. R3 2 Om (5 g Darci Brahma - Songfest) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier two of nine in the $60,000 Benchmark 67 1600 metres on the Turf Long Course B and carries 55.5kgs. He is racing solidly in this grade and should again prove a top four chance from the good draw.

7.50 p.m. R5 8 Dr Octopus (4 g Perfectly Ready - Kalapana Black) - Craig Newitt; drew barrier nine of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 53.5kgs. He should come into barrier seven and with this rider aboard rates as a top five chance.

9.25 p.m. R8 4 Zac Command (7 g Ishiguru - Dominica) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier five of eleven in the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on the Turf Long Course B and carries 56.5kgs. He has trained on well since his last start second and can finish in the first four again from a good draw.

10.30 p.m. R10 7 Aspen (4 g Alamosa - Kirin Belle) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier ten of twelve in the $80,000 Kranji C 1400 metres on the Turf Long Course B and carries 56.5kgs. He was very unlucky not to win last start and should receive every opportunity to make amends on the long course - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

10.30 p.m. R10 9 Clutha Lad (5 g Thorn Park - Maggie's Farm) - Craig Newitt; drew barrier three of twelve in the $80,000 Kranji C 1400 metres on the Turf Long Course B and carries 55kgs. He ran terrifically to finish fourth fresh up and although facing a stronger field should go another handy race with this rider aboard, from a good draw.

11.00 p.m. R11 12 Top of the Town (5 g Strategic Image - Jasmond) - Harry Kasim (a1); drew barrier ten of fourteen in the $60,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the Turf Long Course B and carries 51.5kgs. He returns to racing off a spell and appears bright and fresh. He faces a stronger field after winning at the end of his previous campaign and should run a handy race.
