11.50 p.m. R4 10 Speed Craft (3 g Mastercraftsman - Velvet and Satin) - Zulkifli Zuriman (a2); drew barrier seven of fourteen (12 run) in the $65,000 Initiation 1400 metres on the turf short course D and carries 54.5kgs. Unlucky last start, he will look to run home strongly from off the pace and improve when stepped over more ground - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

11.50 p.m. R4 12 Molly Browne (3 f Saperavi - Patient) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier five of fourteen (12 run) in the $65,000 Initiation 1400 metres on the turf short course D and carries 54.5kgs. She will be allowed to find her feet in running and hopefully get home solidly.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 4 Q Nine Magic (4 g Guillotine - Skag Way) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew the outside barrier of eleven in the $60,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. Cost a couple of wins by drawing wide, he again faces the same issue and rates a hope of finishing in the first five with luck in running - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 8 Dr Octopus (4 g Perfectly Ready - Kalapana Black) - Choon Ng (a4); drew barrier seven of eleven in the $60,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 46.5kgs. Carries a featherweight but may require a drop to Class 5 in order to prove competitive.

Back on his preferred surface, he is a very genuine competitor and plenty of early speed can see him range into the action from off the pace.

Sunday 14 June

5.40 p.m. R2 7 Aguila Azteca (3 f Minstrel Court - La Conga) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier twelve of thirteen in the $75,000 Maiden 1200 metres on the turf short course E and carries 54.5kgs. Pleasing in both her work and condition, drawing wide is disappointing and requires her to make a lot ground from off the pace.

8.55 p.m. R8 4 Hardcore Rock (4 g Fastnet Rock - River Dreaming) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier nine of twelve in the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on the turf short course E and carries 57kgs. He has trained on nicely since his last start second and a reasonable trip from the awkward draw should see him finish top five - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

8.55 p.m. R8 9 Prince Mag (6 g Zamindar - Princess D'Orange) - Choon Ng (a4); drew barrier one of twelve in the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on the turf short course E and carries 51kgs. Although the race is short of his best, the outing will keep his fitness up to the mark for a Class 5 1800-metre race in a fortnight.
