Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where trainer Mark Walker leads the premiership with 43 wins (8 ahead of 2nd) since the season started on January 1.
Friday June 19
10.20 p.m. R1 14 Our River Dancer (4 g Danehill Dancer - Distinctly) - unfixed; drew barrier one of twelve in the $35,000 Class 5 1200 metres, for claiming riders, on the poly track, but is the second emergency and therefore unlikely to gain a start.

11.20 p.m. R3 1 Fiscal Wings (6 g Fusaichi Pegasus - Cashier) - Rawali Zawari (a3); drew barrier six of twelve in the $35,000 Class 5 1200 metres, for claiming riders, on the poly track and carries 56kgs. Meets easier competition and at best he could figure in the finish - one of two in the race for Te Akau.
11.20 p.m. R3 10 Zac Gallant (5 g Darci Brahma - Clermont Rose) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier one of twelve in the $35,000 Class 5 1200 metres, for claiming riders, on the poly track and carries 52.5kgs. He appears a good winning chance from barrier one.

11.50 p.m. R4 2 Falcon (4 g Falkirk - Grand Princess) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier one of twelve in the $35,000 Maiden 1400 metres on the turf long course A and carries 57.5kgs. He receives a good opportunity here from the ace draw in a moderate field.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 1 Sebrose (4 g Sebring - Bramble Rose) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier seven of ten in the $80,000 Kranji C 1800 metres on the turf long course A and carries 57kgs. Looking in great condition and working well since his impressive win, he will be ridden by the Te Akau champion apprentice with Manoel Nunes suspended. In a field where Titanium (4) and Bravo Charlie (6) are both highly regarded he shapes as a first four player in his final lead up to the Singapore Derby (Gr. 1, 2000m) on July 12.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 13 Pharma Browne (4 g Saperavi - Patient) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier fourteen of fifteen in the $35,000 Maiden 1600 metres on the turf long course A and carries 51.5kgs. Although drawn wide, the task is made easier on the long course and he receives an opportunity to improve.

Has continued to race consistently well and again appears a solid chance - one of three in the race for Te Akau.
2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 3 Dreamcatcher (6 g Occidental Tourist - Camilla) - Michael Rodd; drew barrier six of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. Has continued to work well since winning and should go another good race, although stepping up in grade.
2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 9 Clermont Club (5 g Casino Prince - Razzle) - Choon Ng (a4); drew barrier six of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 51kgs. The sprint trip is short of his best and a nice starting point for things to come.

May find the sprint trip a bit sharp, but has the talent to run a good race before stepping up in distance.

Had no luck last time and using the draw to race handily he should finish off strongly - one of two in the race for Te Akau.
8.15 p.m. R7 4 Appellation (3 g Pentire - Tattinger) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier one of twelve in the $35,000 Maiden 1400 metres on the turf long course B and carries 53kgs. Has pleased in his work since finishing second and can again place in the first three.

Unlucky last time and thriving since, he can finish first three in a moderate field - one of two in the race for Te Akau.
9.25 p.m. R9 4 Hardcore Rock (4 g Fastnet Rock - River Dreaming) - Michael Rodd; drew the outside barrier of fifteen (14 run) in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on the turf long course B and carries 58kgs. He will settle back from the wide alley and get home strongly as a top four chance.

Pleased in his work, has blinkers on, and this races shapes as a nice stepping stone to a mile before contesting the Singapore Derby (Gr. 1, 2000m) on July 12 - one of two in the race for Te Akau.
10.25 p.m. R11 2 Clutha Lad (5 g Thorn Park - Maggies Farm) - Alan Munro; drew barrier three of eleven in the $60,000 Benchmark 67 1400 metres on the turf long course B and carries 57.5kgs. Looks terrific and pleased trainer Mark Walker in his work, he has been kept fresh and rates a top four chance despite the trip being on the short side.
