Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse - Friday September 26 -
10.50 p.m. R1 2 Top of the Town (5 g Strategic Image - Jasmond) - Corey Brown; drew six of eleven in the $35,000 1400 metres on the Turf Long Course B and carries 57.5kgs. The rider knows him well; trainer Mark Walker has the horse very fit and feels he can finish in the first three against moderate rivals.
11.50 p.m. R3 6 Toasts Angel (5 m Fast ‘N' Famous - Haberdashery) - Wei Sheng Chan (a4); drew barrier seven of ten in the $60,000 Class 4 Division 1 1200 metres on the Poly Track and carries 51kgs. Solid when fourth in the corresponding race last time out, she strips in the right order to produce a similar performance.
1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R6 7 Bazinga (7 g Fastnet Rock - La Campanella) - Lisa Allpress; drew barrier five of ten in the $80,000 Class 3 1400 metres on the Turf Long Course B and carries 53kgs. Meeting a strong field and has the record to suggest he prefers the poly track, but Lisa (Allpress) knows him well and he has the ability to run a cheeky race.
2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R8 1 Alpha Centauri (5 g Keeper - Country Rose) - Lisa Allpress; drew barrier seven of eleven in the $60,000 Class 4 Division 2 1200 metres on the Poly Track and carries 57kgs. Meets a strong field, but seems bright and has strung two solid efforts since returning to racing.
Sunday September 28
10.00 p.m. R9 2 Hillbilly Bear (6 g Thorn Park - Classic Vault) - Corey Brown; drew barrier five of eleven in the $38,000 Kranji Stakes D 1200 metres on the Turf Short Course C and carries 58kgs. Unlucky last start, he has worked up well for this assignment and can finish in the top four with an uninterrupted passage.
11.00 p.m. R11 6 King Savinsky (4 g Savabeel - Lynisky) - Lisa Allpress; drew barrier six of eleven in the $60,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the Turf Short Course C and carries 55.5kgs. Although short of his best the trip with bring him on towards a mile and further as he gets into his campaign. He seems bright and well and should be doing his best work over the concluding stages.
