Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where trainer Mark Walker leads the premiership with 59 wins since the season started on 1 January.

Friday 4 September

11.50 p.m. R4 5 Molly Browne (4 m Saperavi - Patient) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier one of twelve in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on the turf long course E and carries 55.5kgs. In good order, she should receive a lovely trip to rate a top four chance.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 2 Prince Mag (6 g Zamindar - Princess D'O'range) - Noreesh Jugall; drew barrier four of thirteen (12 run) in the $38,000 Kranji D 1800 metres on the turf long course E and carries 58kgs. A dual winner at the distance, he meets a strong field but his best form can see him finish in the first five.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 8 Sebrose (5 g Sebring - Bramble Rose) - Choon Ng (a4); drew barrier two of thirteen (12 run) in the $100,000 Benchmark 83 1400 metres on the turf long course E and carries 51kgs. He resumes in a strong field and whatever he does should see improvement for a mile next Sunday.

1.50 a.m. (Saturday) R8 2 Brahms and Liszt (6 g Coats Choice - Symphony) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier one of fourteen (13 run) in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on the turf long course E and carries 57kgs. Facing weaker opposition, he rates a top four chance from barrier one in an even field.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 1 Chase (4 g Nicconi - Speedos) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier eight of eleven in the $60,000 Benchmark 67 1400 metres on the turf long course E and carries 56kgs. He went a great race for second fresh-up. Stepping to this distance suits and with luck in running he rates a top four chance - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 3 Om (6 g Darci Brahma - Songfest) - Rawali Zawari (a3); drew barrier three of eleven in the $60,000 Benchmark 67 1400 metres on the turf long course E and carries 53.5kgs. Similar to his stable-mate, he too rates a top four chance.

5.45 p.m. R2 6 Q Nine Maxim (4 g King of Roses - Lady Penelope) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier five of fifteen (14 run) in the $65,000 Initiation 1200 metres on the turf short course A and carries 57.5kgs. He worked nicely for this rider on Wednesday and although the sprint trip is short of his best, he still rates a top five chance.

6.15 p.m. R3 2 Irish Rebel (6 g Danehill Dancer - Ballycairn) - Rawali Zawari (a3); drew barrier five of eleven in the $60,000 Class 4 1600 metres on the turf short course A and carries 54kgs. Mark (Walker) was unable to get a senior rider in such a strong field but hopefully weight relief will aid his prospects.

6.50 p.m. R4 1 Dr Octopus (5 g Perfectly Ready - Kalapana Jack) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier seven of thirteen (12 run) in the $35,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the polytrack and carries 57kgs. Raced well for second last start, drops in grade and appears one of the top four chances in an even field.

7.50 p.m. R6 5 Hardcore Rock (5 g Fastnet Rock - River Dreaming) - Manoel Nunes; drew barrier three of thirteen in the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on the turf short course A and carries 56.5kgs. Finds a race in which we feel he can prove competitive from a good draw.

8.20 p.m. R7 15 Clermont Club (6 g Casino Prince - Razzle) - Choon Ng (a4); drew barrier fourteen of fifteen (14 run) in the $60,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf short course A and carries 48kgs, but currently first on the ballot. If he was to gain a start, the trip would prove too short and we are looking for a drop back to Class 5.
