Te Akau Singapore Weekend Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore this weekend -

Friday October 31

11.20 p.m. R1 9 Zac Command (7 g Ishiguru - Dominica) - Wei Sheng Chan (a4); drew barrier one of eleven in the $35,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 52kgs. Comes in fresh and although preferring turf he can run a cheeky race from barrier one - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

11.20 p.m. R1 10 Ready Fortune (5 g More Than Ready - Bahira) - Hassan Amin (a4); drew barrier two of eleven in the $35,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 51.5kgs. Comes in fresh and although at a trip shorter than his best he should be finding the line nicely following an economical trip.

11.50 p.m. R2 10 Fun House (3 f King's Chapel - Sea Rhythm) - Lisa Allpress; drew barrier five of ten in the $75,000 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. Had a gap close at a crucial stage last start and has worked well since. Horses 1 & 2 appear formidable and the addition of first starters makes it difficult to assess.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 5 Flying Solo (4 g Flying Spur - Daly Charm) - Rawali Zawari (a3); drew barrier two of thirteen in the $65,000 Initiation 1600 metres on the turf long course B and carries 54.5kgs. Has the opportunity to produce an improved performance from barrier two - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 13 Secret Spice (3 f Sakhee's Secret - Caparison) - Jimmy Kek (a4); drew barrier twelve of thirteen in the $65,000 Initiation 1600 metres on the turf long course B and carded to carry 44.5kgs. Requiring some luck from the barrier and although a handy field she could figure in the first five under a feather weight.

2.50 a.m. (Saturday) R8 13 Zac Warrior (6 g Bel Esprit - Lessie) - Lisa Allpress; is first on the ballot for the $35,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and could run a cheeky race in a fresh state if able to make the field.

3.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 6 Dreamcatcher (6 g Occidental Tourist - Camilla) - Rawali Zawari (a3); drew barrier ten of eleven in the $60,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 52kgs. Having had no luck last week he has the benefit of an apprentice claim, but requires luck from the draw.

Sunday November 2

5.55 p.m. R1 7 God's Speed (4 g Circular Quay - Gods Ear) - Corey Brown; drew barrier six of ten in the $35,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the turf long course C and carries 54kgs. Having raced well without much luck in recent times he could figure as a top five chance given the right trip, and after riding him in his last two starts Brown remains aboard.

10.00 p.m. R9 6 Jefferson Bay (7 g Encosta De Lago - Devil's Lair) - Hassan Amin (a4); drew barrier four of twelve in the $80,000 Kranji C 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 52.5kgs. He produced a handy effort last time and although destined for a mile he could go a cheeky race under a light weight from the draw.
