Te Akau South Trackwork

Te Akau track work Thursday October 31 at Riccarton

Course proper (dead):

Chambord (Bullard) and Costa Viva (Morris) worked over 1000 metres in 59.4. The pair provided the quinella - Costa Viva with a half-length margin over Chambord - on Oct. 19 in the Ray Coupland Stakes (Listed, 1400m) at Ashburton, run in an unofficial race record time of 1:21.13.

Chambord (Zabeel) showed his fitness levels remain high ahead of the 2000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) on Nov. 9 at Riccarton, while Morris suggested she had “three more gears left” aboard Costa Viva (Encosta De Lago) as the pair worked home nicely. She too appears ideally poised for her race in the 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) on Nov. 16 at Riccarton.
