Te Akau NZ Still Leads

Te Akau New Zealand trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards remain ahead on the 2015/16 Trainers' Premiership with only nine North Island meeting remaining for the season.
They currently have a buffer of five wins over last season's premiership winners and the countdown to the end of the season is on.
One of only two stables in New Zealand to have won over $2 million in prize money this season, Te Akau is also the joint leading stable for Group and Listed wins (10) but is the outright leader for Group 1 races won in New Zealand this season - four - including the rare Group 1 NZ 2000 and 1000 Guineas' double.
For a major stable, our strike rate of 5.27 is also a remarkable feat.
We are very proud of the whole team, after all this achievement is all down to a team effort - our trainers, all our staff, our owners, our vet partners, farrier etc. - so much dedication from so many!
Premierships are based on performances during each racing season (August 1st - July 31st). The jockey and trainer with the most wins at the end of the season are the Premiership winners.
