Te Akau Sunday Te Aroha Preview
Date: 21 Mar 2021
Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Sunday 21 March at Te Aroha.
Weather: fine, track: Dead5, rail: out 6 metres. No rain forecast.
2.00 p.m. R3 10 Lisheen (3 f Pins - Invermoray) - Danielle Johnson; was untroubled winning off the front when trialling on 2 March at Rotorua, and debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 3YO 1200 metres. Well related, including stakes winning former stable-mate and five-time winner Weaponry (Declaration of War), she appears capable of a bold effort with the right trip from barrier 10.
2.35 p.m. R4 7 Keke Star (4 m Shooting To Win - Kekova) - Danielle Johnson; won well on debut over 1000 metres in September at Taupo, and spelled at the end of November. She scored nicely at the trials on 2 March at Rotorua, and resumes in the $10,000 Rating 65 1000 metres. She is ideally drawn (5) to rate a top three chance.
