2:57 p.m. R7 3 Fellini (4 g Belardo – Silke Top) – Niranjan Parmar (a1); he narrowly led a competitive pace and kicked to advantage before being claimed when finishing second in the 3YO & 4YO 1600 metres on 4 July at Ashburton. Contesting the $35,000 Rating 75 1400 metres, he has been racing well, is a winner on heavy going, and rates a top three chance from barrier one - one of two stablemates lining up in the event. Fixed odds: $4.60 & $2.00.

2:57 p.m. R7 11 Kabugee (4 g Satono Aladdin – Kabuki) – Warren Kennedy; his last couple of efforts were okay without flattering over 1200 metres on poly track at Riccarton, and he likewise contests the $35,000 Rating 75 1400 metres. He has shown to handle heavy ground, including posting a win under those conditions, and receives the opportunity to improve but will require luck from his wide draw (15). Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.35.

3:37 p.m. R8 2 Aotea Lad (7 g Savabeel – Corsage) – Niranjan Parmar (a1); he has been given time (29 days) since a notable effort for third on Heavy10 footing in the Amberley Cup (Rating 85, 1600m) on 22 June at Riccarton, and contests the $40,000 Crombie & Price Oamaru Cup (Open, 1600m). Racing in good fettle, the senior statesman of the stable has drawn (2) to receive an economical trip, and has first four claims. Fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.70.

4.05 p.m. (NZ) ~ 2:05 p.m. (Vic) R4 3 Prismatic (5 g Savabeel – Kaleidoscope) – Aaron Kuru; he raced away to win the Kevin Lafferty Hurdle (3200m) on 7 July at Warrnambool by seven lengths, also with Kuru aboard, and contests the A$100,000 Brendan Drechsler Hurdle (3500m). He easily won the Maiden Hurdle (3200m) on 30 May at Hamilton (Victoria), finished strongly for second in the Coastal Wholesalers Hurdle (3200m) on 23 June at Warrnambool, before winning last start, has the champion jumps' rider again engaged, and is putting together an impeccable jumps' record.
