Te Akau Sunday Update

It has been a mixture of busy and relaxing this weekend. Mark and I have had a fairly quiet weekend at Te Akau Stud. Saturday was busy for Karyn though as she had The First Call tv hosting and then as Chairman of the Waikato Racing Club, had her final Te Rapa raceday for 2013. It was a busy "Christmas at the Races" day with lots of businesses and people having their Christmas parties on course and after getting up for work at 5.00am, she didn't get home until after 9.00pm!
Today Mark and I have been for a drive around the back of the farm for a couple of hours. This week we have a number of really good chances racing, starting tomorrow and it is certainly going to be an exciting 10 day period for the New Zealand stable. The Singapore season has now finished and we look forward to its 2014 season kicking off in January.
I would like to take this opportunity of wishing you all a very merry and happy Christmas and also a successful 2014 - we will be doing everything we can to make it memorable for you on the racetrack.
Also I would like to thank all our owners and friends for all the support that you give to Te Akau Racing - none of which is taken forgranted and all of which is greatly appreciated!! The ongoing success of Te Akau Racing can only continue with the support of our owners and in this field, we have to be well ahead of the rest, we have fantastic owners!
Thank you for your loyalty during 2013 and we wish you every success with your horses in 2014. May they run brilliantly for you!
