Te Akau Taranaki Preview
11 September, 2014
Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the seven-race programme on Thursday Sept. 11 at New Plymouth.
As on Thursday September 11 the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 7 metres.
3.05 p.m. R5 5 Sir Darci (4 g Darci Brahma - Dominant) - Matt Cameron; following an emphatic trial win over 1040 metres on Aug. 5 at Te Teko, he resumes off 166 days in the Rating 85 1200 metres. A winner of three races up to a mile during his three-year-old season, his trial victory indicated a good campaign lies ahead and trainer Jason Bridgman feels the sprint trip here is an ideal starting point. While always likely to strike talented rivals at this level, he has the ability to be competitive first up provided a decent trip from barrier eight.
