Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Thursday 16 January at New Plymouth.

Weather: fine, track: Dead5, rail: out 11.5 metres. No rain forecast.

2.17 p.m. R3 10 Madame Cherie (3 f Ocean Park -
Glitterati) - Chelsea Burdan (a3); finished off the pace when debuting here on
27 December in the Maiden 3YO 1400m metres, won by stable-mate Boutonniere
(Burgundy). She had fought solidly for fourth when trialling prior (Dec. 10) at
Avondale, has a tongue tie added and should appreciate stepping in distance for
the $10,000 Maiden 1600m metres.

2.52 p.m. R4 5 Enrichment (3 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Enhance)
- Chelsea Burdan (a3); showed grit winning the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on 4
December at Pukekohe, before working too hard in slow ground at Awapuni, and an
unlucky fourth when clear late in the Rating 65 1400 metres on 1 January at
Hastings. He rates a top three chance in an even field for the $10,000 Rating
65 1400 metres.
